Our Daily Manna November 26, 2017: ODM devotional – Persuade Men: This Generation Is Waiting!

Topic — Persuade Men: This Generation Is Waiting! [Sunday, November 26, 2017]

Basic Scriptures: Mark 16:10-18

Welcome and remember that there is a DAILY, SPIRITUAL WAR between the forces of evil! In that war, man is the object and target of both God and Satan. Oh! How important and special is the specie called “MAN!”

Please do nothing that will degrade man by your negligence, laziness or procrastination. The Word says, “but the end of all things is at hand” – 1 Peter 4:7. The ultimate end of this generation must come sooner or later. Let us therefore go forth and present heaven’s programme to a waiting and wasting generation. Let us march forward without looking back! Argue hard if necessary, for words break no bones. Persuade, but do not coerce (2 Cor. 5:11). Save, do not destroy! Persuade heaven’s interest and shun self-seeking. For the success of God’s programme in your local church, local government, State, or nation, you are God’s creative force.

Heaven is depending on you. Put your personal tears behind you. Rescue a soul this week! Rescue a soul this month! Heaven and Hell are so real; therefore, knowing the terror of the Lord, we persuade men. Persuade means to influence, to explain, to urge and to advice. Pray daily for salvation of souls with a genuine, Holy Ghost –inspired conversion. Give to your church evangelism unit. Print gospel contact. Sponsor film shows around neighborhood! Visit the prisons and hospital with the gospel.

There has been an emphasis by heaven in this quarter on evangelism, knowledge and the Word! Do something and watch heaven move. See Proverb 25:15: “By long forbearing is a prince persuaded.” Do not give up when it comes to soul winning. By long forbearing is a friend persuaded! Be patient when wining souls! There is crisis in the world. Instead of going with the crowd, we are to show the way, persuade men! This generation is waiting!

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 26, 2017 Devotional: What’s Your Name?

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 26, 2017 Devotional: What's Your Name?

Topic: What’s Your Name? [Sunday November 26, 2017]

And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him. – Colossians 3:17

Did you know your name has been changed? It’s no longer the same as it was before you were born again. You gave your old name away when you made covenant with Jesus.

To fully appreciate what that means, you have to think about it in the light of what we know about blood covenant. When someone enters a covenant of blood, he is giving himself completely away. He is no longer his own. His assets and his debts, his strengths and his weaknesses belong forever to his covenant brother.

When you’re in blood covenant with someone, that person’s name becomes your name forever. You cannot escape it—good or bad—it’s yours.

When you received Jesus as your Lord and Savior, He took your name! Your name was sin. Your name was weakness. Your name was fear and poverty and every other evil thing you inherited from Adam.

Jesus took those names from you and gave you His own in exchange. That’s right! Ephesians 3:15 says that the whole Body of Christ has been named after Him both in heaven and earth. That means you have been given Jesus’ Name. Its authority is now yours!

Just think about who you’re named after:

“Jesus, Mighty God, Wisdom, Deliverer, Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Word of Life, Advocate, Provider, The Great I Am, Helper, Savior, Prince of Peace, Wonderful Counselor, Lamb of God, Lord of Hosts, Root of David, Author and Finisher of Our Faith, The Way, Healer, Son of God, The Truth, Chief Cornerstone, King of Kings, Light of the World, Chief Shepherd, My Strength and Song, Righteous Judge, Son of Righteousness, Resurrection and Life, The Alpha and Omega.”

Praise God, those names cover any need you’ll ever have. What’s more, the power of God is in His Name to bring that Name to pass in your life (Acts 3:16).

You can’t call yourself discouraged anymore. That’s not your name. You can’t answer when the devil yells, “Hey, poor boy.” That’s not your name. Jesus has taken those old names of yours. They’re gone. So meditate on the names of the Lord. They’re all wrapped up in the Name of Jesus, the Name above all names, and that Name with all its power and authority has been given to you!

Our Daily Bread 26 November 2017 Devotional – God Knows

Our Daily Bread 26 November 2017 Devotional – God Knows

Topic: God Knows — Sunday November 26, 2017.

Read: Matthew 6:1–4, Bible in a Year: Ezekiel 27–29; 1 Peter 3

Your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. Matthew 6:4

When Denise met a hurting young woman in her church, her heart went out to her and she decided to see if she could help. Every week she spent time counseling her and praying with her. Denise became her mentor. However, some church leaders didn’t notice Denise’s efforts and decided to assign a church staff member to mentor the woman. No one, they commented, seemed to be taking care of her.

While she was not expecting any credit, Denise couldn’t help but feel a little discouraged. “It’s as if I wasn’t doing anything at all,” she told me.

One day, however, the young woman told Denise how grateful she was for her comfort. Denise felt encouraged. It was as if God was telling her, “I know you’re there for her.” Denise still meets with the woman regularly.

Sometimes, we feel unappreciated when our efforts don’t get recognized. Scripture, however, reminds us that God knows what we’re doing. He sees what others don’t. And it pleases Him when we serve for His sake—not for man’s praise.

Perhaps that’s why Jesus gave us an example by telling us to do our giving “in secret,” so that “your Father, who sees what is done . . . will reward you” (Matt. 6:4). We need not look to others for recognition and praise; we can take heart that God knows when we’re faithful in serving Him and others.

Prayer: Lord, forgive me for the times when I crave others’ recognition and praise. Help me to serve for Your glory alone.

God sees everything we do for Him.

Insight:

In the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 6–7), after Jesus’s strong caution against hypocrisy He gives us the proper motivation for our service to Him. Our reason to share with open hands and to raise our hands in prayer is out of love for the Father, who is the source of all that is good. The approval of the Father is better than any praise we may receive from others. It is the reward from Him that we should desire and pursue.

Because God sees everything we do and knows the motives of our heart, how might we seek to please Him this week in our service? J.R. Hudberg

TREM’s Daily 26 November 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo – It Is Already Done

TREM’s Daily 26 November 2017 Devotional by Dr. Mike Okonkwo - It Is Already Done

Topic: It Is Already Done — Sunday November 26, 2017.

“Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,” (1 Peter 1:20 KJV)

God is not going to do it. He has already done it. As far as the word of God is concerned, the devil is too late. God has spoken about you already and there is nothing the devil can do about it because God’s word will never return unto Him void. It will always accomplish His purpose. All that is happening around you is only a ‘smoke-screen’. It cannot change what God has said concerning you, not even sin. Nothing can stop you. Why? You have been discharged, acquitted, no appeal, case closed!

John the Baptist said to the people, “…Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.” (John 1:29 KJV) Sin is what the enemy used to stop God’s people from the blessing. The devil came to bind us to sin, but Jesus came to take it away. Jesus was manifested to take away our sins. So if you are a believer, you are not a sinner. Why do you think devil said to Jesus command this stones to become bread? Why stones? The law was written on the tablet of stones. He wanted Jesus to feed Himself on the law but Jesus said. I won’t feed myself on the law rather I will feed on what My Father told Me. My father has called Me beloved, so I won’t feed Myself on the law.

Don’t let the law nourish you because it cannot nourish you. Rather, let the love of the Father nourish you. The love of the Father is revealed in Grace and manifested by Jesus Christ. Let every wrong believing in you disappear. Receive the word of God’s love. Believe that your sin is already fully paid for. Believe it is already done. God has perfected all that concerns you. So walk now in the liberty wherewith God has made you free. Rejoice! And again I say rejoice forevermore.

Andrew Wommack’s Daily 26 November 2017 Devotional: Choose To Love

Topic: Choose To Love [Sunday November 26, 2017]

John 18:23 “Jesus answered him, If I have spoken evil, bear witness of the evil: but if well, why smitest thou me?”

God’s kind of love is not self-serving or self-seeking. Agape love will cause a person to lay down his life for another (Jn. 15:13), because he has literally forgotten himself. Many times when heros are asked why they put themselves in jeopardy to save someone else, they reply that they didn’t even think about themselves. All they thought of was the danger to the other person. That’s God’s kind of love.

God’s type of love involves emotions many times, but it is not an emotion. It is an act of the will. We can choose to love even when we don’t feel like it and we can always conduct ourselves in a godly manner, when we feel God’s kind of love. God’s kind of love is a choice.

God’s kind of love is also the antidote to selfishness and pride. We cannot conquer self by focusing on self. The only way to win over self is to fall in love with God more than with ourself. It is in discovering God’s love that we lose self love.

Jesus didn’t feel some emotional sensation when He chose to die for us, but that was the greatest demonstration of God’s kind of love that the world has ever seen. He made a choice in spite of His emotions. Because He was consumed with God’s love, He acted properly, even when His emotions didn’t agree.

Jesus is the ultimate example of God’s kind of love.

Billy Graham’s Daily 26 November 2017 Devotional: Enjoy Life

Billy Graham’s Daily 26 November 2017 Devotional: Enjoy Life

Topic: Enjoy Life [Sunday November 26, 2017]

Now you are happy with the inexpressible joy that comes from heaven itself. — 1 Peter 1:8 (TLB)

Christians are to enjoy life and enjoy one another. When children see no joy in their home, no joy in your Christianity, they will not be attracted by it. When they see you excited about going to a ball game, or watching television, and then dragging around to do spiritual things, they will soon get the idea that Christianity does not mean much to you. Your attitude will rub off. My wife says that the best way to get a child to eat his food is to see his parents enjoying theirs. Our children will not be attracted to Christ if we make Him seem dull.

Prayer for the day: May I live so close to You, Jesus, that those around me will see Your joy.

Written by Billy Graham, Founder of Billy Graham Evangelistic Association(BGEA). BGEA exists to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ by every effective means and to equip the church and others to do the same.

Healing for the Seers After a Season of Warfare .

Just look around the corner. (Pixabay/Riala)

The Lord is proclaiming hearing for the seers!

In a recent “Mornings With the Holy Spirit” prayer broadcast, the Lord showed me clearly how the enemy has skewed the vision of many seers during a season of warfare. I prophesied:

“You’ve begun to see things not as they are but as the enemy wants you to see them … Whatever the enemy is showing you, just look around the corner, because that is where something better lies. Just look around the corner.”
