Andrew Wommack’s Daily 25 November 2017 Devotional: Seek Greater Revelation

Topic: Seek Greater Revelation [Saturday November 25, 2017]

John 18:20 “Jesus answered him, I spake openly to the world; I ever taught in the synagogue, and in the temple, whither the Jews always resort; and in secret have I said nothing.”

The truths of God are hidden for His children, not from them. The Holy Spirit has been instructed to teach us all things (Jn. 14:26) and has given us an unction so that we will know all things (1 Jn. 2:20). We only have to appropriate what is ours.

What God desires His New Testament saints to know, that the Old Testament saints could not know, is “Christ in you the hope of glory.” The coming of the Messiah was predicted in the Old Testament, but the idea that He would actually dwell in us was beyond anyone’s imagination. However, the New Testament is clear that Christ, by the Holy Spirit, takes up permanent residence in all believers. This is a wonderful truth that some fail to fully appreciate. Solomon said at the dedication of the temple, “But will God indeed dwell on the earth? behold, the heaven and heaven of heavens cannot contain thee; how much less this house that I have builded?” We could say, “How much less this physical body?” This is truly amazing!

The Lord’s commitment to dwell in us and never leave us or forsake us (Heb. 13:5), must be taken as an indication of His great love for us. If we continually thought upon this, with all its implications, how could we ever be lonely or discouraged? We couldn’t! Depression and self-pity would cease!

Why would it matter what others thought of us if we truly understood how much Jesus thought of us?

Our attitudes and fears reveal that this revelation of “Christ in us” is not a well established revelation in most Christians. However, this verse makes it clear that our Father wants to make “the riches of the glory of this mystery” known unto us. We should all be seeking a greater revelation of this truth.

Billy Graham’s Daily 25 November 2017 Devotional: Whose Son Is He?

Billy Graham’s Daily 25 November 2017 Devotional: Whose Son Is He?

Topic: Whose Son Is He? [Saturday November 25, 2017]

To us there is but one God, the Father . . . and one Lord Jesus Christ . . . — 1 Corinthians 8:6

Ultimately, in one way or another, or at one time or another, we shall be faced with this question: What think ye of Christ? Whose Son is He? If Jesus Christ is not who He claimed to be, He is a deceiver, or an egomaniac. We must answer this question with both belief and action. We must not only believe something about Jesus, but we must do something about Him. We must accept Him, or reject Him.

Jesus made clear who He was, and why He came into the world. He asked His disciples, “Whom do men say that I, the Son of man, am?” They told Him of a variety of designations on the human level. Then Jesus turned to them and asked, “But whom say ye that I am?” Whereupon Peter replied with his historic affirmation, “Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God” (Matthew 16:13-16).

This is the apex of faith. This is the pinnacle of belief. This is where the faith of each must rest if he hopes for salvation. Christ is inescapable! You, too, must decide, “What shall I do with Christ?”

Prayer for the day: You are the Christ, Lord Jesus, Son of the living God! In adoration I worship You—my Redeemer.

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 25, 2017 Devotional: Stir Up the Power

Kenneth and Gloria Copeland’s Daily November 25, 2017 Devotional: Stir Up the Power

Topic: Stir Up the Power [Saturday November 25, 2017]

Greatly desiring to see you, being mindful of your tears…. I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you…. For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of power and of love and of a sound mind. – 2 Timothy 1:4,6-7, New King James Version

There are times when you know what God has called you to do, but you just don’t feel you have the inner resources you need to do it. Somehow you’ve simply run dry. You know the Word says that “out of your belly shall flow rivers of living water” (John 7:38). But, during those times, you can’t even find the creek bank, much less the river.

The Word of God tells us how to handle those situations through a clear command: “Stir up the gift inside you.”

You stir yourself up! Everything you need is already in you. Jesus put it there. Everything you’ll ever need to accomplish what God has called you to do has been placed inside you by God Almighty.

Faith is in there. Power is in there. Love is in there. Believe that. Speak it out. Say it to yourself now, right out loud:

“In the Name of Jesus, I stir up the gift that’s within me by faith. I’m stirring up my faith. I’m not going to wait until I feel stirred up. I’m stepping out by faith and expecting my feelings to follow!

“I’m stirring up the love of God that’s in me. I’m stirring up the power. I’m stirring up myself and running the devil out of my affairs. I’m stirring myself up in the Spirit of the living God! I am stirred up!”

Our Daily Manna November 25, 2017: ODM devotional – Watch It! Over-Confidence Is A Nuclear Bomb!

Our Daily Manna November 25, 2017: ODM devotional – Watch It! Over-Confidence Is A Nuclear Bomb!

Topic: Watch It! Over-Confidence Is A Nuclear Bomb! [Saturday, November 25, 2017]

Basic Scriptures: 2 Corinthians 11:1-10

Recently there was a “WAR OF ACIDIC WORDS” between the USA and North Korea on the possibility of a Nuclear War! As fear gripped the citizens of earth, I quickly remembered that in a war scenario, nobody knows how it may end or the million manipulations that could alter the status quo!

In a war, the giant can be a victim at last! Remember David and Goliath? In November 2001, a month after the war on terror began in Afghanistan, the Alliance Forces captured the key city of Mazare Sharif. After the capture, a Taliban commander from nearby Kunduz, arranged the “SURRENDER” of his forces and the war in northern Afghanistan appeared to be ending.  But it was a game plan! Instead of surrender, an uprising exploded led by these Taliban prisoners who had “surrendered”. In a matter of days, hundreds in one of the most epic battles of war! In fact, a new film titled “House of War – The Uprising At Mazare Sharif ” was produced!

Wow! From “SURRENDER t ” to “BLOODY RIVER!” Unseen lie! It was a chocker! A deadly game of deceit! The Taliban was finally captured in November 9th 2001. But that was physically war! What about our deadly spiritual war with the forces of darkness? As 2017 ends, you must not allow any entry of deceit into your life and ministry! You must learn to be sober and vigilant! The Bible likens the devil to a very crafty force that can appear as if is well – “an angel of light.” He may even show up through “miracles,” but his target is to steal, kill and destroy. He deceived Eve (2 Cor. 11:3). Oh! Be as wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove! Wisdom will reveal any deceit around you as this year ends! odm prophetic declarations

There is a way that seems right unto a man but the end is death! It takes soberness and vigilance to recognize poison coated with sugar. Beginning a war does not guarantee victory because over-confidence can be the cornerstone of disgrace! Victory is by wisdom and vigilance! Declare Isaiah 44:2, 22:25 (several times) before praying the points below. When we know what’s true, we can discern what’s false. Not every open door is God’s door! Many are traps in disguise. Watch out! Watch and pray! Watch and trust! You will WIN at last! Amen

Our Daily Bread 25 November 2017 Devotional – Being Human Beings

Our Daily Bread 25 November 2017 Devotional – Being Human Beings

Topic: Being Human Beings — Saturday November 25, 2017.

Read: 1 Peter 2:11–17; 3:8–9, Bible in a Year: Ezekiel 24–26; 1 Peter 2

All of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble. 1 Peter 3:8

When asked to define his role in a community that was sometimes uncooperative with law enforcement, a sheriff didn’t flash his badge or respond with the rank of his office. Rather he offered, “We are human beings who work with human beings in crisis.”

His humility—his stated equality with his fellow human beings—reminds me of Peter’s words when writing to first-century Christians suffering under Roman persecution. Peter directs: “All of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble” (1 Peter 3:8). Perhaps Peter was saying that the best response to humans in crisis is to be human, to be aware that we are all the same. After all, isn’t that what God Himself did when He sent His Son—became human in order to help us? (Phil. 2:7).

Gazing only at the core of our fallen hearts, it’s tempting to disdain our human status. But what if we consider our humanness to be part of our offering in our world? Jesus teaches us how to live fully human, as servants recognizing we are all the same. “Human” is how God made us, created in His image and redeemed by His unconditional love.

Today we’re sure to encounter folks in various struggles. Imagine the difference we might make when we respond humbly—as fellow humans who work together with other humans in crisis.

Prayer: Father, help us to be humble as we respond to one another, human being to human being.

Humility is the result of knowing God and knowing yourself.

Insight:

Have you noticed that when people receive a great honor for their accomplishments they often acknowledge their humble roots? Even legendary athletes admit that they were just an everyday kid from somewhere—just like us.

Peter sees how important it is for those who know they are God’s representatives to remember who they were. In recognizing their high honor (1 Peter 2:9), Peter urges followers of Christ to remember that once they had no sense of belonging to God; once they had not received mercy (2:10). Later in the same letter he reminds those who are leaders among the Lord’s people to recognize their own accountability to God and not to lord it over those entrusted to their care (5:3).

At best we are all common folks from somewhere who have been called to love others as God has loved us.

Seeds of Destiny 25 November 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche — It Is Not Lost

Seeds of Destiny 25 November 2017 by Pastor Paul Enenche — It Is Not Lost

Topic: It Is Not Lost [Saturday November 25, 2017]

Scripture: And as for thine asses that were lost three days ago, set not thy mind on them; for they are found… 1 Samuel 9:20a

Thought For The Day: There is nothing so lost that cannot be found by the help of God

The word lost refers to the state of something or someone being displaced, misplaced or missing.

Our anchor Scripture reveals to us that the missing Asses of Kish, Saul’s father were found even though they had been lost for days.

This shows that there is nothing that is so lost that cannot be found by the help of God.

The truth is, whatever cannot be found is in existence somewhere in one form or the other. For instance, if you heat water for a long period of time, the water would evaporate. The evaporation of the water does not mean the non-existence of the water. It may look like the water is lost, but it is not, it only changed form. It changed from the liquid state to the gaseous state.

Beloved, it is possible your resources, favours, fruits of the womb, marriage, opportunities, certificates, breakthroughs etc, have not entered your hands because of some witchcraft or satanic manipulations.

But today, by the mantle of restoration on my life, I apply pressure on the invisible realm where what is yours are tied. I command them to be released for you now, in Jesus’ Name.

Remember This: There is nothing so lost that cannot be found by the help of God

Assignment (S):

1. Rely on God for the restoration of anything missing from your life and destiny.

2. Connect with the power of God via revelations from scriptures that will facilitate the restoration you desire in your life and destiny.

DCLM Daily Manna 25 November, 2017 by Pastor Kumuyi – Beware Of The Easy Life

Topic: Beware Of The Easy Life — Saturday November 25, 2017.

Text: Amos 6:1-14

Key Verse: “Woe to them that are at ease in Zion, and trust in the mountain of Samaria, which are named chief of the nations, to whom the house of Israel came” (Amos 6:1).

Love of ease and pleasure has continued to plague many people, men, women, boys, girls and children alike in our world today. Modern philosophy, warped world view, syncretic religious preachers, crimes from new media have increased godlessness in the world and made many people unfit for the Master’s use (Jeremiah 24:2,3).

The nation of Israel in our text had waxed wanton in following after obsessive lifestyle of the heathen nations around them. These backslidden children of God wanted a taste of the life of ease of their neighbouring sinful nations. The desire to “lie upon beds of ivory, stretch themselves upon couches and chant to the sound of the viol, drink wine in bowls and anoint themselves with chief ointments…” (Amos 6:4-6) made them insensitive to misery and afflictions of Joseph.

Today, God is watching His people whom He has entrusted the task of rescuing the perishing and restoring the backsliders. We should not behave like the backslidden children of Israel in the days of Prophet Amos but heed Christ’s call to local and foreign involvement in soul-winning. This is the most profitable way to spend our time, talent, treasure and entire life. It is in obeying and fulfilling the great commission that we can truly be described as abiding in the Lord.

This is not the time to stay in our comfort zone and be at ease as did the people of Samaria in the days of Amos. Believers who resort to pleasure-seeking at the expense of winning never-dying souls will incur the wrath of God. The Lord’s standard has not changed; He is still demanding that Christians should preach the gospel to the lost for their salvation.

Thought for the day: Only what is done for Christ will last.

Here’s How One Evangelical Megachurch Pastor Deals With Critics on Social Media

(Screenshot: New Life Church)New Life Church Senior Pastor Brady Boyd preaches November 2017.

An evangelical megachurch pastor has a few rules when dealing with critics on social media, or what he called “a modern calamity for pastors.”

While being on the receiving end of criticism is never easy, especially for pastors who are often targeted given their position, the age of social media has now given people “the opportunity … to immediately criticize and to immediately vocalize their discontent, their aggravation, and their anger toward pastors,” said Brady Boyd, senior pastor of New Life Church in Colorado Springs.

So how should pastors deal with social media?

One thing Boyd does is simply shut down social media during the days he’s preparing his sermon.

“There are certain times in my week where if I’m truly going to be filled up and full of the Spirit for Sunday when I preach, I have to shut down social media. I cannot pay attention to the comments section on my blog, I cannot pay attention to the mentions on Twitter and I cannot respond to emails,” he said.

Boyd also stays away from social media on Sundays and Mondays, lest he subject himself to seeing negative comments about the sermon he just delivered.

“Some of the regrets I have as a pastor is reading social media…
