‘I Saw Myself as a Mass Murder’: Former Abortion Provider Shares Her Story

‘I Saw Myself as a Mass Murder’: Former Abortion Provider Shares Her Story

After performing around 1,000 abortions, Dr. Kathi Aultman came to a disturbing realization: she had legally killed more people than the serial killer Ted Bundy.

“I didn’t see the fetus as any different from the chicken embryos that I dissected in college,” Aultman said in an interview on The Van Maren Show. She was strongly pro-abortion, according to the Daily Signal, and believed that it was a woman’s right to abort a child.

“I felt that I was a woman’s advocate, and I was helping women, so I felt I was doing everything right,” she said. “And I love taking care of women.”

However, while working at a neonatal intensive care unit, she began to doubt the ethics of abortions. She was saving babies in the NICU that were the same age as the ones she was also aborting.

Her breaking point came shortly after she gave birth. “I moonlighted doing abortions at a clinic and continued to do that even when I was pregnant, and I saw no incongruity with that,” she said. “My baby was wanted. Theirs was not, and that was the difference.

“After my delivery, however, when I came back to work in the clinic, something had changed in my mind, because I felt a little different all of a sudden, and I was confronted with three patients that basically changed my mind.”

One patient was using abortion as birth control; another admitted to wanting to…

John Lewis Christmas Ad reflects the message of the Gospel says Christian community

The festive film, made in partnership with Waitrose tells of an accident-prone dragon called “Excitable Edgar” who unintentionally sparks chaos in his village with his fiery Christmas excitement.

Edgar unintentionally sets fire to the community Christmas tree and melts a snowman in the town square.

As a result, he struggles to be accepted by his neighbours.

Edgar’s one friend, a red-headed girl, helps him to feel included and gives him a Christmas pudding to take to the village Christmas meal.

Church Army – a mission focused group within the Anglican Church praised the advert saying the story mirrors the Gospel story.

A tweet posted on Thursday read: “Rejected by those he loved…How does the @jlandpartners 2019 Christmas Advert speak to you about Christmas and the birth of Jesus?

“We love #ExciteableEdgar!”

Other Christians have interpreted the new advertising campaign as a display of the sinful nature of mankind and its need for a Saviour.

Dan Rackham, a Christian film maker who makes gospel centred Christmas videos tells Premier he relates to the character of…

Ellie Goulding Demands Salvation Army Make Pro-LGBT Pledge in NFL Halftime Show Spat

Ellie Goulding Demands Salvation Army Make Pro-LGBT Pledge in NFL Halftime Show Spat

Singer Ellie Goulding is threatening to withdraw from the Dallas Cowboys’ Thanksgiving Day halftime performance unless the faith-based Salvation Army – the halftime show’s sponsor – makes a pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community.

Thanksgiving Day is the traditional kickoff to the Salvation Army’s Red Kettle Campaign, which runs through Christmas Eve and raised $142.7 million during the 2018 campaign. The funds help provide shelter and meals for the homeless and needy, and Christmas toys for children.

The ministry has a section on its website saying it “is committed to serving the LGBTQ community” through job training, shelter, meals, help with substance abuse, and suicide prevention.

Goulding, though, wants more commitment from the Salvation Army. Her threat on Tuesday came after she posted an Instagram picture endorsing the Salvation Army and showing her volunteering in New York City. A few fans then claimed the ministry was anti-LGBTQ.

“Upon researching this, I have reached out to The Salvation Army and said that I would have no choice but to pull out unless they very quickly make a solid, committed pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community,” Goulding wrote on Instagram. “I am a committed philanthropist as you probably know, and my heart has always been in helping the homeless, but supporting an anti-LGBTQ charity is…

Donate to LGBTQ or no Thanksgiving performance

The Dallas Cowboys’ Annual Red Kettle Campaign – which raises money to provide food and shelter for the homeless over the Christmas period – has raised money during the games’ half time shows since 1997.

Goulding, who has been vocal in her support of the charity after spending time in shelters in the past, was set to perform at the game between the Cowboys and the Buffalo Bills on 28th November.

In anticipation of the event, the Grammy award winner posted on Instagram to share an image of her volunteering at a Salvation Army location in New York City and thanked them for their work serving the poor.

The post was met with backlash from fans who condemned her for backing an organisation that “did not support LGBTQ people”.

In response, Goulding said she couldn’t support an anti-LGBTQ organisation and called upon the Salvation Army to make a donation.

“Upon researching this, I have reached out to The Salvation Army and said that I would have no choice but to pull out unless they very quickly make a solid, committed pledge or donation to the LGBTQ community,” she wrote in the comments (via The Dallas Morning News). “I am a committed philanthropist as you probably know, and my heart has always been in helping the homeless, but supporting an anti-LGBTQ charity is clearly not something I would ever intentionally do. Thank you for drawing my attention to this.”

Christian Student Dies in Hong Kong Amplifying Anti-Government Protests

Christian Student Dies in Hong Kong Amplifying Anti-Government Protests

Protests in Hong Kong have continued following the death of a Christian student who fell from a parking garage where police clashed with protesters.

According to the Christian Post, the anti-government demonstrations have become increasingly violent.

“Protesters in Hong Kong have added to their arsenal javelins and bows and arrows, in addition to bricks and petrol bombs as they clash with police armed with tear gas, water cannon, and live bullets, in violent standoffs now spilling into university campuses,” The U.K. Telegraph reports. Police also said some protesters have “shot arrows dipped in gasoline and lit on fire,” and have used “electric saws.”

Last week, Alex Chow Tsz-Iok, a 22-year-old computer science undergraduate at Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, died from his injuries after he fell from the third floor of a parking garage to the second floor. Chow fell as police were using tear gas fire to disperse the protestors in Tseung Kwan O.

Protestors are blaming police for his death, vandalizing an on-campus Starbuck and the porch of the chancellor.

“The police tell the public that Chow’s death is by accident. But I won’t believe in it,” said Jenny Chou, 22, a college freshman who was among the hundreds of people holding vigil at the site where he fell.

“I hope he will move on to a better place and Hong Kongers will…

‘We absolutely understand and respect the views of Christians’, Lib Dems defend deselection of pro-life candidate

Rob Flello told Premier on Wednesday that he was deselected from standing in the election after the party learnt about his views on gay marriage and abortion.

But the party claims it wasn’t his views, but instead how he expressed those views on social media.

At an event on Thursday launching the Lib Dems’ plans for equality and human rights, Baroness Sal Brinton, the President of the Liberal Democrats and also a Christian, told Premier there are pro-life politicians who do not express their views in the same way as Mr Flello.

She said: “The issue about voting matters on moral issues are very clear and, in common with other parties, we don’t have a whip on those. I think the difficulty that our candidates team hadn’t picked up was his language and retweeting on social media, which went beyond the sort of dialogue that you would expect from a liberal.

“We absolutely understand and respect the right of every Christian to have their views, but many Christians follow slightly different pathways, slightly different interpretations. As a Liberal Democrat, we expect tolerance and understanding of the other side and unfortunately some of the things that Rob had retweeted went beyond that and would absolutely not be seen as something that Liberals should do.”

When asked which retweets barred him from standing for…

Cuban Christian detained twice in 4 months after investigating religious freedom violations

Christian Ricardo Fernandez Izaguirre handed himself in to Camagüey police on Tuesday after receiving a verbal summons from the authorities.

According to reports from local journal ‘La Hora de Cuba,’ family members and friends gathered outside the station after hearing nothing from him since he was placed in custody.

Officers told the group Izaguirre was being investigated and would be held incommunicado for four days but refused to give any further information on his detainment or his well-being.

When Izaguirre’s wife, Yusleysi Gil Mauricio, entered the station to ask about the charges against him, she was reportedly “threatened and insulted” by three state agents, and told her husband would be “judged for being a counter-revolutionary”.

Izaguirre who has documented over 60 violations of freedom of religion or belief (FoRB) this year, was previously detained for four days in July, after meeting with members of the Ladies in White movement – who have been forcibly detained and prevented from attending church services and other religious activities by state authorities.

Speaking to freedom chairty Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) after the incident, Izaguirre reported that he was “freed without any explanation – just as they had arrested me”.

Government attacks on FoRB and pressure on religious leaders have increased significantly since the adoption of a new…

Christian same-sex marriage campaigners in NI to launch legal challenge

Partners will be able to tie the knot from early next year following a major liberalisation of the law surrounding gay unions.

More than 1,200 couples in Northern Ireland who already have civil partnerships will not be able to convert to full married status in the New Year under official proposals, lobbyists said.

Parliament forced ministers to introduce the change and more public consultation by the Government is due to clarify issues.

Cara McCann, who entered a civil partnership with her partner Amanda McGurk earlier this year, said: “Just a few weeks ago, I sat in a room in Stormont House with Government ministers and officials and was told that I could become a married woman in the New Year.

“Now the Government has changed its mind.

“Our campaign for equal marriage has always been about rejecting second-class citizenship. We have already won our campaign in Parliament.

“Now we will go to court to ensure the government does not escape its legal obligation.”

Tony Evans Becomes First African American to Publish Study Bible, Commentary

Tony Evans Becomes First African American to Publish Study Bible, Commentary

After celebrating 50 years in public ministry, Dallas-based pastor Tony Evans became the first African American to publish a study bible and commentary.

“What I want to say to African Americans is if you see what’s really in the Bible, you can find yourself there,” he said in an interview with Religion News Service. “You don’t have to lose yourself to believe in Jesus. In fact, much of who we are is in Jesus.”

Evans, pastor of Oak Cliff Fellowship and founder of The Urban Alternative, released the study Bible and commentary in partnership with LifeWay.

“Paying attention to context is extremely important if you want to accurately understand what the Bible is saying,” he wrote in the Bible’s opening instruction letter. “If you don’t pay attention to the context, you are in danger of trying to make the Bible say something that it doesn’t actually say.”

His church celebrated with a three-hour “Kingdom Legacy Live” event that included musicians Kirk Franklin and LeCrae, who praised Evans as the father figure they never had. Video tributes also were aired from former President George W. Bush and former football player Herschel Walker.

It was important to Evans to highlight the black presence in Scripture. In his interview, he specifically mentioned Ham’s lineage dating back to African people; Moses’ wife, Zipporah, being the…
