Walt Disney Pictures announced their Cogsworth character’s voice for the live action recreation of “Beauty and the Beast” in the person of Sir Ian McKellan.

“The Hobbit” wizard and chief “X-Men” mutant villain, Ian McKellen has just signed on to be the voice of Cogsworth for the live action retelling of the fantasy film “Beauty and the Beast.”

Cogsworth, who was introduced to audiences in Disney’s 1991 fairy tale classic, is a character best known as Beast’s butler turned into a talking clock by a witch’s curse. McKellen, 75, who is famous for his role as the villain Magneto in the “X-Men” and the wizard Gandalf in “The Lord of the Rings” film franchises, will lend his distinctive voice to Cogsworth when production begins later this year.

The film follows Kenneth Branagh’s live-action remake of classic animated fairy tale, Cinderella starring Lily James, which debuted in March this year to positive reviews, earning over $400 million for Disney.

The studio is looking to continue capitalizing on the audience impact of the live-action trend with “Beauty and the Beast,” with Disney already having cashed in on the success of “Alice in Wonderland” and “Maleficent” in the previous years.

“Beauty and the Beast” has already roped in big name stars like Emma Watson As Belle, Luke Evans as Gaston, Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts, Kevin Kline as Maurice, and now McKellen as the voice of Cogsworth.

Disney will be following “Beauty and the Beast” with a live remake of the 1940 classic, “Pinocchio,” which is reportedly under development, while “Book of Life” director Guillermo del Toro is said to be developing another darker version of the puppet whose greatest wish is to become a real boy.

Live action films for “The Jungle Book,” “Dumbo,” and “Mulan” are also reported to be in the works.

“Beauty and Beast” also stars Dan Stevens and Prince Adam/Beast and will be directed by Bill Condon for a March 17, 2017 release.

“And through the storyline this season we get to peel back some layers of Romero, which is so much fun as certainly as writers,” the showrunner went on to say.

“But it just as a viewer, I think it’s going to be so interesting to get inside this incredibly stoic guarded person and see a little more of what makes them tick and what they need and what they’re hiding from themselves,” she went on to explain. “So that’s just been a really fun storyline.”

Destiny Update 1.1.2 News, Details: New Patch Offers New Feature That Could Help Prevent Accidental Item Deletion

Destiny REUTERS/BUNGIE/ACTIVISION

Christian Post Report – A screen grab from the video game Destiny. Activision Blizzard Inc intends to spend 0 million developing and promoting ”Destiny,” potentially breaking industry records as it seeks to build the sci-fi role-playing videogame into its next multibillion-dollar franchise.

Bungie announced earlier this week that the studio has already “completed” their work on the next update for their hit first-person shooter video game, “Destiny.”

As indicated in the official Bungie blog post update, Patch 1.1.2 will see the new feature that could help prevent accidental item deletion. Meanwhile, there’s also the improvement of weapons and ammo features for Crucible.

User Interface Engineer Daniel Hanson speaks about the item deletion issue:

“One recurring story we keep seeing involves Legendary and Exotic gear getting accidentally dismantled by errant pets and over-enthusiastic children. We decided to empower players to protect their precious gear with Item Locking,” Hanson said (via Bungie).

The Item Locking feature requires players to highlight their favorite item and then click down on the right thumb-stick to secure the item.

“It’ll be safe until you unlock it,” Hanson went on to explain.

Then there’s also the improvement for the weapon and ammo features in Crucible.

Kevin Yanes, who works as Crucible Designer, pointed out a few improvements which include:

  • Making Special Ammo “a more precious resource”
  • Putting further emphasis on the Heavy Ammo’s role
  • Limiting the high-damage weapons

“The recent update to sandbox balance was the first step. Creating a new system to manage ammo drops will enable us to adjust the Crucible experience without altering other activities in your Director. We believe that making ammo more scarce and important will provide players with more choices and more memorable encounters in Crucible,” Yanes said.

As further explained by Yanes, Special Ammos will “spawn less frequently” in Patch 1.1.2.

“…it will take longer to pick up, there will be less crates located on the map, and the bricks you find will provide you with less ammo,” he said.

Further details about the Destiny Update 1.1.2 will be provided for in the upcoming Patch Notes.

Christian Post Report – Samsung Galaxy Note 5

Samsung’s Galaxy Note 4 is barely a year old, yet rumors have started coming out that a new Galaxy Note will be launched before the end of the year. According to a report in Trusted Reviews, the Christian Post Report – Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is set to be unveiled within the third quarter of 2015. It also notes that this year’s big thing may be the smartphone’s screen, which is rumored to feature a 3840 by 2160 pixel Ultra HD, 4K display, the very first smartphone to have such a display.

Although Samsung has yet to confirm any of these rumors about the release date of this new smartphone, the report cites that the Korean firm is “a creature of habit” and one that is ruled by its yearly product cycles. While the Mobile World Congress in March is usually for S series unveilings, the third quarter, with the IFA Conference in Berlin in September is said to be “firmly Note territory.” Samsung has always unveiled its Note series during this specific event. The report also predicts that the unveiling will happen during the first week of September, in one of Samsung’s media events prior to the conference.

In terms of the specifications of the Note 5, insiders are saying that it will sport a 3840 by 2160 pixel Ultra HD, 4K display on a 5.9inch screen. This rumor is somewhat substantiated with Samsung’s earlier pronouncement that they will bring the first 4K Ultra HD phone in 2015.

The Note 5 is rumored to have a more powerful processor this time: a 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 815 processor or even higher. It may however also opt to have Samsung’s own Exynos processor. The handset will operate on 4GB of RAM with bigger options for internal storage, up to 128G.

There are no rumors so far on what cameras the phone will feature.

Price-wise, the new phone may carry a heavy tag price given its specifications. The report predicts a £650 price tag on release, which is not far from the £629 price tag of its predecessor, the Note 4.

New Spider-Man Reboot Film News: Marvel to Reboot With 15-Year-Old Peter Parker

Christian Post Report – Spider-Man

The recent announcement from Marvel indicates that the new Christian Post Report – Spider-Man will still be Peter Parker and not the rumored Miles Morales.

The news came after Marvel struck a deal with Sony Pictures, who owns the said superhero franchise, to revive the web slinging New Yorker by first featuring him in MCU’s upcoming big screen offering, “Captain America: Civil War” with Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Captain America and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark/Iron-Man on May 6, 2016.

After the attached comeback, a new Christian Post Report – Spider-Man standalone reboot will be on its way this July 28, 2017. This would be the Web-Slinger’s third reboot film after the Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield-led movies.

After several speculations concerning the new Christian Post Report – Spider-Man identity, Marvel’s head Kevin Feige stepped into the light to announce that it would still be Peter Parker.

However, Parker will still be only 15 years old years when he returns to the big screen. The plan is to skip the origin story.

“In terms of the age of what we believe Peter Parker is, I’d say 15-16 is right. Some of my favorite Christian Post Report – Spider-Man arcs and Christian Post Report – Spider-Man stories, he’s in high school for a lot of it. We want to explore that. That also makes him very, very different from any of our other characters in the MCU, which is something else we want to explore: how unique he is when now put against all these other characters,” said Feige.

“In Christian Post Report – Spider-Man’s very specific case, where there have been two re-tellings of that origin in the last whatever it’s been – [thirteen] years – for us we are going to take it for granted that people know that, and the specifics,” he continued.

As of the actor, Marvel and Sony still has to find the right person to don the red and blue suit.

About the costume, Feige added that the studio already had the design “which is different than any of the ones that have come before.”

‘Incredibles 2’ News, Update: Writer-Director Brad Bird Confirms Script is Underway

<b>Christian Post Report</b> – The Incredibles 2″ title=”<b>Christian Post Report</b> – The Incredibles 2″ name=”jpg” src=”http://images.christianpost.com/full/82229/the-incredibles-2.jpg” class=”imgPhoto” width=”550″ height=”450″ /> <small class=Facebook/ Christian Post Report – The Incredibles

Christian Post Report – The Incredibles

It was almost a year or so when the news first broke out that a sequel for 2004’s computer-animated comedy superhero film, “Christian Post Report – The Incredibles,” was announced. Updates for the film’s second installment have been scarce since then until this recent announcement from its writer-director.

Brad Bird, who was also the brain behind Pixar’s beloved animated film, “Ratatouille,” confirmed that the script for “Incredibles 2” is now in development.

“I’m just staring to write it, so we’ll see what happens,” he told NPR.

Bird, who also voiced Edna Mode — she was the fashion designer for the Supers in the film — also talked about the current status of film industry and the rampant info leakage.

“It’s very difficult nowadays because everyone has a device with which they can ruin your movie. They print things on paper so that nobody can copy them, but they also make them impossible to read when you’re on the set,” he continued.

Disney CEO Bob Iger announced on March 2014 during a shareholder’s meeting that Pixar and the Mouse House are planning to continue the story of former superheroes, Bob (voiced by Craig T. Nelson) and Helen Parr’s (Holly Hunter) and their children, as well as a third installment for the “Cars” franchise.

As to what “Incredibles 2” would bring, Bird previously said during an interview in May 2013 that he’s got “many, many elements that I think would work really well in another Incredibles film, and if I can get ’em to click all together, I would probably wanna do that.”
