Christian Post Report – Kansas City Royals players celebrate on the field after defeating the Baltimore Orioles in game four of the 2014 ALCS playoff baseball game at Kauffman Stadium.

The Royals have not played a competitive game at Kauffman Stadium since Game 7 of the World Series when they were fighting the San Francisco Giants – a game that went all the way to the bottom of the ninth. Of course that didn’t go the Royals’ way, however, everything starts anew today, and the Royals will be desperate to experience something more positive today on the same diamond for opening day.

The MLB 2015 opening season features numerous highlights this year. Many will be looking to Masahiro Tanaka following months of rumors and doubts surrounding his right elbow. The injury landed him on the disabled list last season, and many will want to see how his partially torn ulnar collateral ligament holds up as the season gets going today.

Another big highlight for opening day will be the contest between the San Diego Padres and the Los Angeles Dodgers. The pair will meet each other 19 times this season, including a potential vital three game set, which will close out the season. Matt Kemp in particular will be looking at this game with relish, and even though he has a lot of memories at Chavez Ravine, his time there ended on a bad note, and he will be looking to gain revenge in the only way he knows how – by winning and being successful where he is now.

Another big story for opening day 2015 will be veteran Torii Hunter leading his new team, the Minnesota Twins, against his old team, the Detroit Tigers. He has said ahead of the game: “I’m fired up to face anybody, whether I face the Angels, which I had a great time, or I face the Tigers, which I had a great time with. I can tell you this: Any team I might play, they know I’m coming to play,” according to TwinCities.com.

Today’s big game between the Chicago White Sox and the Kansas City Royals will start at 4.10 p.m. ET and can be watched on TV on the CSCh network, and also online through free live stream by clicking here.

The Nationals have very high expectations for this new season, and some are even touting that this could be their year to go all the way. However, a young and talented Mets team will plan to derail the Nationals’ plan from Day 1 by inflicting an opening day loss on Washington.

‘Better Call Saul’ News, Spoilers: Producer Tom Schnauz Teases an ‘Epic Monologue’ from Jimmy

Bob Odenkirk Reuters/File

Actor Bob Odenkirk will star in the “Breaking Bad” spin-off show “Better Call Saul” slated to air February 2015 on AMC and Netflix.

Christian Post Report – The best is yet to come for AMC’s massive hit TV series “Better Call Saul” as the show approaches its season finale.

A spoiler report from The Hollywood Reporter stated that show’s lead Bob Odendirk, who plays the struggling elder law expert, Jimmy McGill, will be delivering his “lengthiest monologue” which as said, will rival the one he delivered when he was at a gunpoint in episode two, “Mijo.”

Tom Schanauz revealed that this week’s segment will see Ondenkirk delivering an “epic monologue” of which the actor will perform “exactly as written.”

Odenkirk, who also spoke with THR, said that this scene was definitely an “intimidating challenge” to take.

“I find it to be an involving challenge to attempt to do the work as written, even in a speech that long. Exactly, exactly as written,” the actor said.

Meanwhile, for other finale teasers, a sneak peek released by the network shows Jim going back to Hamlin, Hamlin & McGill probably to patch things up with the firm.

He was also seen talking to Kim (Rhea Seehorn). Jim is most likely asking for her forgiveness for the rude words he gave in the nail salon, back in “Pimento.” The two gave each other a hug afterwards.

Jimmy was also seen unloading some boxes, most probably the one involving the Sandpiper scam. While doing so, Kim asked Jimmy about his confrontation with Chuck (Michael McKean).

“He’s my brother, he thinks I’m a scumbag. There’s nothing I can do to change that,” Jimmy answered.

With all the exciting twists and turns, the season’s ender will probably reveal how Jimmy will take the dire matters at hand.

“Better Call Saul” Season Finale titled “Marco” airs this Monday, April 6 at 10 p.m. on AMC.

San Jose Sharks’ Logan Couture (39) reacts after scoring the game-winning goal against Los Angeles Kings in the overtime period during Game 3 of their NHL Western Conference semifinal playoff hockey game in San Jose, California, May 18, 2013.

Christian Post Report – The San Jose Sharks host the Dallas Stars at SAP Center at San Jose in the regular season of the NHL. To be played on April 6, 2015, the puck drops at 10:30 p.m. ET.

The Sharks have had a rough season so far, they are fifth in the Pacific Division and 10th in the Western Conference. As a result they are set to miss the playoffs this year.

However, they have seemed to pick up the pace at the tail-end of the season, as they have won four of their last six matches and managed to take at least a point from five of their last six.

They beat the Detroit Red Wings and Philadelphia flyers before losing to a shootout against the Pittsburgh Penguins.

However, they would bounce back with dominating performances against the Colorado Avalanche and Arizona Coyotes.

Their streak of points recently ended when they lost 5-3 to the Coyotes in their return match.

Just one point behind the Sharks in the West are the Stars.

They have only two ins in their last five matches and one of their glaring problems is on their defense.

In their last five matches, Dallas have allowed 24 goals, with crushing losses to the Edmonton Oilers (4-0), Calgary Flames (5-3) and St. Louis Blues (7-5). In their two wins against the Vancouver Canucks and Nashville Predators, they needed overtime to win and allowed their opponents to score three goals in each of those games.

This season, these two teams have already met twice, with both resulting in wins for the Sharks.

Both games were played at the American Airlines Center, with San Jose netting five goals in each game while Dallas have five goals combined.

Rick Warren Receives Outpouring of Support After Requesting Prayer on Resurrection Sunday, Anniversary of Son’s Death

Saddleback Church founders Rick and Kay Warren co-hosted The Gathering for Mental Health and the Church, March 28, 2014.

Christian Post Report – Saddleback Community Church pastor Rick Warren received an outpouring of support from Christians around the world on Easter Sunday, which marked the second anniversary of his youngest son’s death.

Believers took to social networking sites last week to share heartfelt messages of love and hope for Warren, who requested prayer on April 1 via his Facebook page as he prepared to preach at Easter services for four days straight. The post garnered more than 39,000 likes and hundreds of comments.

Warren’s son, Matthew, who was 27 when he died, took his own life on April 5, 2013, after a long battle with depression. In an emotional prayer request to his 1 million Facebook followers, the Purpose Driven Life author recalled his son’s passing as being “the worst day of my life.”

“On this Easter week two years ago, my son Matthew ended his life, and his 27-year battle with mental illness. That day, April 5th, coming 5 days after Easter, was the worst day of my life,” wrote Warren, 61. “On a day where everything in me wants to be quiet and low-key, be alone at home with my Lord and my wife and kids, and just get through the day without having to interact or be “on” or celebrate anything … instead I will be leading multiple Easter services on the biggest Christian day of the year.”

Although Matthew’s death anniversary fell on Resurrection Sunday this year, the Southern California based megachurch pastor still celebrated Easter with his congregants, because as he explained, “the Resurrection IS that unmovable hope, that steadfast reality that soothes and comforts the loss in my heart.” He and his wife, Kay, share two other children.

Last year, Warren and his wife launched a mental health ministry in Matthew’s honor to help shed light on mental illness in the church and to help raise mental health awareness in general. The Warrens teamed up with the Roman Catholic Diocese of Orange and the National Alliance on Mental Illness to host a day-long event, and a second summit is set to take place later this year in October.

Speaking Southern Baptist Convention Pastors’ Conference in Baltimore, Maryland, in June Warren said that Matthew spent much of his time helping other people and after his death, he said: “I may have received 30-35,000 letters of condolences from people around the world, and it wasn’t the rock stars, the prime ministers or the presidents’ cards and letters that meant the most to me. The letters that meant the most to me were letters from people that Matthew had led to Christ, and they would say, ‘I’m going to be in heaven because of your son.'”

After reading those letters, Warren said he realized, “In God’s garden of grace, even broken trees bear fruit.”

The Warrens also address alcohol addiction, drug abuse, orphan care and HIV/AIDS via their church ministry.

Saddleback Community Church, which is based at the main campus in Lake Forest, California, was founded by Warren in his home in 1980. The church recently celebrated its 35th anniversary and now has more than 20,000 members.

The Boston Red Sox will play the Philadelphia Phillies on Monday for the MLB 2015 season Opening Day. There will be a lot of hopes for both teams as this new season gets underway, however, only one franchise can get off to a winning start. The game can be watched on TV on the NESN network or online through free live stream (details below).

Christian Post Report – Boston Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz follows through as he flies out in the eighth inning against the Toronto Blue Jays during their MLB American League East baseball game in Boston, Massachusetts, September 22, 2013.

There is big history between these two rivals, and adding opening day tension to the mix should result in a clash that no fan wants to miss.

Both teams will be happy to start the new season with blank records, having had torrid 2014 seasons; both franchises suffered last place finishes last year, but both will have renewed hope and expectations as the new season gets started. However, a winning start could be important for the coming weeks, and building confidence early on can make or break a season.

The Red Sox have shaken things up a lot building up to this season opener. They have reinforced their offense; paying out $95 million to sign Pablo Sandoval, and splashing another $88 million for Hanley Ramirez.

Spending that amount of money will undoubtedly raise expectations and hopes, however, Red Sox fans will remember the $72.5 million spent last year on Rusney Castillo, and they will notice that he is starting this season in the Minors.

But make no mistake, this is a completely revamped Red Sox line up, and they have only one starter – Buchholz – from the 2014 season opening day.

John Farrell has said, “I think there’s a lot of excitement, and rightfully so, about the additions [general manager Ben Cherington] has made to our team. This is a talented group.”

Today’s big opening day game between the Boston Red Sox and the Philadelphia Phillies will start at 3.05 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream by clicking here.

Youtube Screencap: FX’s ‘Archer’ titular character Sterling Archer

Christian Post Report – FX’s hit adult animated TV series “Archer” has finished up its sixth season but fans of the show are still hankering for more details about the show’s future and one of the many rumors pointed out to a full-length feature film.

A report from Game N Guide cited an interview with executive producer Matt Thompson who recently spoke with the Daily Beast to address rumors of an “Archer” film.

“I see it as an eventual conversation that’s probably coming in the next couple of years because it feels like it’s reaching that point where you’re either gonna do it, or you’re not gonna do it. I see it as a much greater possibility today because Adam and I have become more relaxed about what this show does, and where it will go in the future,” the showrunner said.

With the plans still on hold, the publication went on to probe about what’s next for the show, now that it has already closed its sixth season, the executive producer said.

“We don’t know! Every year as the season ends, Adam walks across a foreign country thinking about what he wants to do next. As you and I are speaking, Adam is walking through the South of France for 30 days,” Matt Thompson. “We have some ideas, but we haven’t necessarily decided exactly what we’re going to do yet—despite the final scene this season. For us, we wanted to leave it open-ended to decide if we want to go rogue again.”

Christian Post Report – The Baltimore Orioles are shown in this file photo.

The Orioles enter today’s game having lost Nelson Cruz and Nick Markakis to free agency. Fans will be anxious to see how the team does without those two, as the franchise didn’t make any moves to replace either one of them. The O’s instead will look to dust off the losses by focusing purely on their core players, and will simply ask that the pitching staff cover up any potential holes created.

The MLB 2015 opening season features numerous highlights this year. Many will be looking to Masahiro Tanaka following months of rumors and doubts surrounding his right elbow. Destiny ‘House of Wolves’ DLC 1.1.2 Patch News, Details: Update Sees Raid Fixes, Strike Improvements and More

Destiny The Dark Below Creative Commons/Image

Bungie recently released some important details for the “Destiny” upcoming Patch 1.1.2. Slated to be released alongside the game’s upcoming second expansion, House of Wolves, the said update will see changes on raids, strikes and improvements on player usage.

Christian Post Report – As pointed out in the studio’s official update blog site, the next upgrade will bring in the needed fixes for the Atheon and Crota Raid bugs.

“In 1.1.2, we have an opportunity to make some targeted fixes. We prioritized a list of items based on community feedback and tried to hit the ones that have been the most important to players. In particular, we wanted to improve the Atheon and Crota boss encounters. They’re challenging enough without the game getting in your way,” senior designer Gavin Irby told Bungie.net.

More details about the Raid bug fixes will be provided when the Update Notes for Patch 1.1.2 is released, the site said.

The upgrade will also bring some Strike fixes which is said to improve the strikes gameplay. The blog cited User Research Lead, John Hopson particularly addressing the Cerberus Vae III Strike which, as he said, is “arguably the longest and hardest Strike in the Game.”

To answer the problem, production engineer Brenton Woodrow said that their goal now is to “ease up” on the difficulty of the strike.

“Our goal was to ease the difficulty for the least-completed strikes. In order to do this, we focused on the final boss encounters, which were fairly lengthy on higher tiers. We addressed this by reducing the strength for several of the major combatants,” Woodrow said.

Bungie will also begin handing out punishments to players who idle around during matchmaking activities.

“Sitting idle in Strikes and PvP has been on our radar for a while now, but it’s become clear that a small number of the worst idlers are responsible for damaging the experiences of thousands of other players,” Hopson said.

The site clarified the premise of the punishment by saying that only those “truly dedicated idlers” are to be reprimanded by “temporarily banning” them from the multiplayer activities.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, Bungie is planning to roll out Patch 1.1.2 “in the coming weeks.”

‘Guardians of the Galaxy 2’ News, Update: Treatment Finished, Director James Gunn to Work on Screenplay

Guardians of the Galaxy Youtube/file

The characters of Guardians of the Galaxy

Christian Post Report – Director James Gunn once again took to the social media to offer update details on the upcoming “Guardians of the Galaxy 2,” which as previously reported, will be veering farther away from its Marvel Comics canon.

Gunn’s question-and-answer segment on Periscope this week to reveal that he has already completed and mapped out his treatment on the GoTG sequel.

“I turned in my treatment. I’m going in to meet about it Friday and we will start working on the screenplay next week,” Gunn said.

It was found out, moreover, that the initial production for the upcoming installment is set to commence this February of 2016. His plans also include shooting the film at Pinewood Atlanta Studios following Marvel’s other forthcoming superhero offerings, “Ant-Man” and “Captain America: Civil War.”

The February 2016 production timeline would bring the movie to the big screen this May 5, 2017.

Other nuggets of information shared by Gunn during the Q&A went on to mention that the title is slated to be released in 3D form.

The studio and Gunn has also opted not to do “motion capture for Rocket [voiced by Bradley Cooper] and Groot [voice talent Vin Diesel].”

Fans will also get to know more of Gunn’s GoTG in a “deeper way” and that there will be some “little improv” done during rehearsals which was then added to the script.

“Guardians of the Galaxy 2” will see the return of Chris Pratt (as Starlord), Zoe Saldana (as Gamora), Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer), and the two mentioned voice talents with their corresponding characters.
