Windows 10 ROM for Android Announced, to Be Piloted in China

Christian Post Report – Microsoft has found a way to install a Windows 10 ROM on Android phones and is currently testing it out with a group of “power users” in China who are using Xiaomi Mi 4 Android devices. This announcement was made by the company during its major announcement that the latest version of their operating system will soon be available to the public.

According to a Windows blog, Terry Myerson wrote: “Through a new program with Xiaomi, one of the top smartphone distributors in the world, a select group of Xiaomi Mi 4 power users will be invited to help test Windows 10 and contribute to its future release later this year. These power users will have the opportunity to download the Windows 10 Technical Preview – installing it and providing their feedback to Microsoft.”

Xiaomi in a separate statement clarified that this is not a formal partnership and that Microsoft is “working directly with select members of our Xiaomi fan community in China” in this “experimental program.” According to a report in BGR, Microsoft will create a custom build of Windows 10 and have select Mi 4 users who are already familiar with installing custom ROMs use it on their devices. Xiaomi also reiterated their commitment to the Android ecosystem.

As far as what the custom ROM can do, according to BGR, it allows the user to flash Windows 10 on their smartphone. It also comes with Microsoft associated apps such as Cortana, Skype, OneDrive, Office and more. This is what makes it attractive to users in China because of current restrictions on the Google Play market in the country. A report in TechCrunch also cited that “there is a greater spirit of customization in China, particularly for Android users since third-party app stores are the norm as Google Play is severely restricted there.”

Beyond the pilot however, Microsoft has already hinted that this software will be available soon.

Christian Post Report – Despite the petition of fans, The CW’s hit drama TV series “Hart of Dixie” will finally take its bow for good. However, this doesn’t mean that followers of the show won’t be able to enjoy its last two segments because as spoiler reports suggest, the penultimate as well as the finale will be packed with thrilling and exciting sequences.

This week’s showing titled “End of Days,” will tackle on Zoe (Rachel Bilson) and Wade’s (Wilson Bethel) relationship issues. A synopsis for the episode was posted on the Futon Critic and it indicates that the two will be surprised to find out that “they have very different opinions about marriage.”

Meanwhile, AnnaBeth (Kaitlyn Black) will be visited in a dream by BlueBell’s founder. The entity will tell AnnaBeth “five omens about the end of BlueBell” which will consequently “creates a town-wide panic” thanks to Crickett (guest star Brandi Burkhardt) who relays to everyone right away what AnnaBeth has revealed.

Meanwhile, George (Scott Porter) will face a dilemma when he “gets an offer that could change his life forever.”

In related news, the show’s cancellation was further confirmed with its cast member who went to her social media to break the information.

Show creator Leila Gerstein previously hinted fans that the program might not be back for a fifth round. Jaime King, meanwhile, tweeted that “it’s our last season so watch the rest.”

The 35-year-old actress recently posted on her Instagram a photo of her showing her growing baby bump. The mother of 16-month-old, James Knight, later on took down the photos.

“Hart of Dixie” Season 4 Episode 9 “End of Days” airs this Friday, March 20 at 8 p.m. while the finale episode reportedly titled “Bluebell” will be in March 27 on The CW.

Christian Post Report – Last episode of the hit post-apocalyptic TV drama series “The Walking Dead” Season 5 features both intense and tragic developments. And spoiler reports suggest this could continue in this week’s episode titled “Try.”

In “Spend,” fans saw the tragic demise of Noah (Tyler James Williams) who was literally devoured by the Walkers. It also revealed Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) people getting more crucial positions inside Alexandria – a thing that upsets Father Gabe (Seth Gilliam) who told the community’s leader Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh) that having Rick and Co could spell disaster within the walls.

And this could turn out to be true, at least in the case of Rick. Spoiler reports indicated that the next episode will tackle on the conflict that is about to happen between the survivors’ leader and Alexandria’s esteemed doctor, Pete (Corey Brill).

A report from Design & Trend cited fan site The Spoiling Dead Fans saying that although Pete won’t be killed in the upcoming segment, he will, nonetheless, face the anger of the show’s main protagonist.

It was claimed by TSDF that Pete’s wife, Jessie (Alexandra Breckenridge) has suffered abuses from him. Seeking the help of the Safe Zone’s newly appointed constable, a fight consequently occurred between Rick and Pete.

As further revealed, Alexandrians have long been aware of Pete’s suspicious behaviours. In the Walking Dead comics, Douglas Monroe (Deanna’s comic book counterpart) will even ask Rick to end Pete’s life.

Executive producer Scott M. Gimple already told through The Hollywood Reporter that Season 5 will follow closely with the events on the comic book. This goes to say that Pete might be eradicated, not on this episode as it was reported, but likely on the succeeding ones.

“The Walking Dead” Season 5 episode 15 titled “Try” airs this Sunday, March 22 on AMC.

Christian Post Report – Suspense and intrigue keeps on building up as the fourth season of the hit TV drama series “Revenge” continues in this upcoming segment titled “Loss.”

Karine Vanasse’s Margaux is certainly a force to reckon with within The Hamptons as we saw her in last week’s episode “Retaliation” successfully hurting Emily (Emily VanCamp) through Jack (Nick Wechsler) whom she had arrested under false pretences.

But despite all her efforts of destroying the Revenger, the scheming Margaux will still learn that chances won’t always be in her hands. A spoiler report from Melty cited the upcoming segment’s teaser video (provided below) showing Margaux getting hit by a speeding car while Emily looks on from a distance.

The promo also offer other explosive scenes like a mysterious figure – thought to be one of Margaux’s henchmen – aiming a gun at Emily’s head. But thankfully, the show’s protagonist was able to react in time and she was able to deter the hit man.

The video also featured Ben (Brian Hallisay) turning up at Nolan’s (Gabriel Mann) place and the latter was apparently disturbed with the visit. Madeleine Stowe’s Victoria Grayson is also seen crying over something.

On related news, avid followers of the show have long been wondering the status of another Grayson member who disappeared on one of the previous episodes.

Speaking with TV Line, cast member Christa B. Allen admits she wasn’t sure if her character would make a comeback to the Hamptons.

“I haven’t heard anything,” she told TV Line. “But I know that they’re still waiting to hear on their next season pickup, so I think it’ll depend largely on that. … They do try to keep their options open on that show.”

Allen’s character Charlotte was last seen in “Damage” where she was apprehended after a slew of murder and drug cases landed on her lap.

“Revenge” Season 4 returns this Sunday, March 22 at 10 p.m. with episode titled “Loss” on ABC.

Christian Post Report – The cast members of the hit fantasy drama TV series “Game of Thrones” recently appeared in public to promote the launching of the show’s upcoming brand new fifth season at the Tower of London.

Fans present during the gala were able to take a glimpse of GoT stars like Kit Harington (who plays Jon Snow), Gwendoline Christie (as Brienne of Tarth), Sophie Turner (as Sansa Stark) and Alfie Allen (as Theon Greyjoy) grazing the event.

The occasion also features a slew of interviews with the cast where they unload amounts of information about what followers of the TV series should expect when Season 5 kicks off this April.

The Greyjoy actor started off by saying that the forthcoming chapter will be filled with “shocking scenes without a doubt.”

“I’d like to see how much farther they can push the sort of dark side of it as a show as a whole,” the 28-year-old actor told The Daily Record.

Fans, meanwhile, should also never worry for his neutered and broken character when the show returns to the small screen as there will be a “little bit of light at the end of the tunnel” for him.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (as Jaime Lannister) also teased that this season will be the “most exciting” part of the show.

“This season we are getting into the end game of this story so some of the major storylines start to overlap,” he said.

Echoing what George RR Martin said about the HBO adaptation veering away from the book canon, Michael McElhatton (who plays Roose Bolton) reveals that there will be major twists that will surely shock the fans.

“There’s a lot of shocks particularly for the book readers. There are things that happen now that aren’t in the books,” McElhatton said. “The world has just got bigger and bigger and we are going to move into the world towards Dawn a lot more and introduce a lot of new characters there.”

“Game of Thrones” Season 5 is scheduled to premiere on April 12, 2015 on HBO.

Christian Post Report – After the cast of the live-action movie adaptation of the hit post-apocalyptic series, “Attack on Titan” (Japanese title: Shingeki no Kyojin) was introduced last year, the first, recently released trailer of the upcoming big screen offering circulated online and it took the fans by storm.

A report from Comic Book cited a Japanese television program broadcasting the first brief footage of the “Attack on Titan” live-action film.

Although indecipherable for non-Nihongo speakers and western fans, the video, as presented by the TV show offers a great deal of what to expect in the upcoming title.

As detailed out, the promo teases the infamous Titans that appear to be slightly different from both the manga and the anime series’ creatures.

Nonetheless, the giant humanoid entities were featured looming around the walled city scooping up humans and devouring them.

It was further reported that the full-length feature was written by author Hajime Isayama and the screenplay by Tomohiro Machiyama. Meanwhile, “Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods” helmer Yusuke Watanabe was credited for the direction of the film.

What started off as a 2009 manga series written and illustrated by Isayama, “Attack On Titan” branched off into other media like light novels, anime series, video games, movie compilation, and this time, a live-action film.

The fiction, as a whole, follows characters Eren Yeager (Japanese actor Miura Haruma), his adopted sister, Mikasa Ackerman (Mizuhara Kiku), and their childhood friend, Armin Arlert, as they tread on a grim world plagued with people-eating giants called the Titans.

Christian Post Report – Roma Downey, the executive producer behind the upcoming 12 part series “A.D. The Bible Continues,” has described the project, a sequel to 2013’s “The Bible” miniseries, as “Game of Thrones meets The Bible.”

Downey told the Irish Voice in an article on Friday that she has high hopes for “A.D.,” which premieres on Easter Sunday night, and will follow the events of Jesus’ disciples after Christ’s resurrection.

“In 2013 we brought you ‘The Bible,’ in 2014 we brought you ‘Son of God’ and now it’s 2015 and we’re about to launch on network television ‘A.D. The Bible Continues,'” said Downey, who is co-producing the series alongside her husband, Mark Burnett.

“There couldn’t be a more perfect day to tell you this story than Easter Sunday. And it runs then for 12 weeks and it’s our hope then that it will get renewed and run for many years to come.”

A special preview for the new miniseries was released in February at the beginning of the Lenten season, and revealed that the show will follow the first 10 chapters of the book of Acts.

One big change this time around is that unlike “The Bible,” which aired on the History Channel, “A.D.” will be shown on NBC.

“We are extremely ethical, and I spoke to them,” Burnett said about the change. “I believe this belongs on American [broadcast] network. It has the biggest privilege in the world … to have an hour of primetime on American [broadcast] network TV; there is nothing like it on Earth.”

In her latest interview, Downey said that “A.D.” is not a closed-ended series, and there is potential that the series keeps going.

“There’s no better story than this segment of scripture from the book of Acts woven together with stories from history that we’ve pulled in from the writings of Josephus (the first century scholar) and others,” she said.

Part of the show will follow the Roman Empire and its dealings with the Zealots, a first century political movement, and the Temple Authorities, shepherds of the Jewish faith in the first century.

The series will focus on the political struggles and tensions that Jesus’ disciples had to deal with in the early beginnings of Christianity.

“Our story picks up at the crucifixion of Jesus and takes us though to the resurrection. We hear how aware the Roman authorities were of the prophecy that he might rise. They go to great lengths to ensure the tomb is well guarded,” she explained.

The actress and producer noted that “A.D.” is not aiming to be “preachy” in nature, but wants to offer something “exciting.”

“Audiences are sophisticated and they demand a high quality production and we have delivered a high quality cinematic experience that they can enjoy,” Downey said.

Christian Post Report – An interview with 2012 “Dredd” writer-producer Alex Garland reveals that there might be a very slim chance that a sequel for the science action film would push through.

Speaking with the Collider, Garland seems to confirm that a “Dredd 2” movie would never happen. He shared his thoughts about the Karl Urban and Leda Headey-starred box office feature, and pointed out the support it garnered from fans despite its apparent financial failure.

“The ‘Dredd’ thing is a surprise. It’s a really complicated set of emotions. I have a lot of regret about how things worked out with ‘Dredd,’ but it’s very gratifying. The regret it – you do a kind of transaction, particularly with the creators of it, which is that we want to do this thing and honor what you did, and try to do it properly, and then the film will reward that trust. That act of faith and trust and decency. And I think that the film rewarded them in one sense, but not in another,” Garland said.

“I do believe it rewarded them creatively, unless they’re lying to me about that. But I think it has created this thing of this movie that fails. The story of ‘Dredd’ is that of a failed movie,” he added.

“How can I say this without being soppy? It’s touching,” Garland went on to say referring to the cult status of the 3-year-old movie. “It means something that these people support the film in that way, but the thing people want, which is a sequel, I don’t think is going to happen.”

“I think it will happen (let me rephrase that) I don’t think it’s happening with me and the people who made the last one,” Garland clarified.
