Christian Post Report – To be a growing Christian, you must have a prayer life. And what is prayer? Simply put, it is communicating with and listening to God.

There isn’t one method or one posture for prayer that is more legitimate than another. The main thing is to pray. Writing to the believers in Ephesus, the apostle Paul said, “Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere” (Ephesians 6:18).

You can pray publicly. You can pray privately. You can pray verbally. You can pray silently. You can pray while you’re kneeling, standing, sitting, lying down, or even while you’re driving (but keep your eyes open). You can lift your eyes to heaven and pray, or you can close your eyes and bow your head and pray. You can pray in any position at any time in any place.

As we look in the pages of the Bible, we see Daniel praying in a lion’s den, David praying in a field, and Peter praying while he walked on the water—and while he was in the water. Jonah prayed from the belly of a whale. So surely God will hear your prayer wherever you are. The main thing is that you are always praying.

The apostle Paul told the Thessalonian Christians, “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you” (1 Thessalonians 5:16–18). That means we should pray in the morning. We should pray in the afternoon. We should pray in the evening. We should pray when we rise. We should pray before we go to bed at night. We are to constantly pray and bring our needs before God. There is no substitute for prayer.

Christian Post Report – Following the release of Android 5.0 Lollipop, Google announced that it has now rolled out the newest Android 5.1 Lollipop for a slew of its Nexus devices like the Nexus 6, 5, 7, and 10.

Presently in various stages of receiving the update, a report from GSM Arena pointed out that the tech giant had recently put up the factory images of the latest mobile operating system for the Nexus 5.

Released globally this week, the Lollipop Over-The-Air OS upgrade measures about 220.7 MB of file. One of its most significant features includes the Device Protection which, as reported, offers maximum security for owners who might lose their devices.

It has been said that unless the user signs in with their Google account, the device remains locked even after a factory reset.

Other than that, the new OS also offer the High-Definition Voice feature which offers a greatly-improved voice call quality.

Meanwhile, a report from the Tech Times pointed out some problems experienced by those who updated their Nexus smartphones to the latest OS.

According to the publication, the Lollipop memory leak problem, which was first reported back in November during the Android 5.0.1 roll out, still persist with the latest version and it “seem to be more frequent.”

Aside from the memory leak, other users were also reporting other problems like random phone shutdowns as well as weakened Wi-Fi and data connectivity.

Google, via Tech Times, however sees the problems as not of an “urgent issue” as the bug fix is yet to be pushed through.

“This has been fixed internally,” a person from Google said. “We do not currently have a timeline for public release.”

Christian Post Report – 2K Sports has just released its latest “NBA 2K15” locker codes, more exclusive store items, and discounts on the game this month.

Fans of the basketball simulation game, “NBA 2K15” can now get their hands on the newly released set of locker codes from video game publisher, 2K Sports, including three new store items and other store markdowns for March.

Game developer Visual Concepts, released new locker codes to give players a chance to add iconic Boston Celtics player Larry Bird into their MyTeam with code “MRQ6P-JJ6XG-AQRV7-TFMXU-3U62C.” They also have the option to unlock Pink Diamond Tracy McGrady using the code “13N35SECONDS,” the Gold Pack with code “FEATHERBEARD,” and add Miami Heat’s LeBron James with code “KINGJAMESONFIRE.”

More cheat items provide virtual currency (VC) for the game. All players have to do is type “UNCLEDREWISBACK” to get 2,500 VC, “TOMAHAWKJAM,” “KINGOFCLUTCH,” “PLAYOFFTIME2K15,” or “YAKKEM” to get 5,000 VC, “ALMOSTTIME” for 10,000 VC, and “MAXCONTRACT” for 15,000 VC. The additional virtual currency points will allow players to upgrade their characters, get higher-ranked characters, or purchase the newly available NBA Playoffs gear. Additionally, typing “WHOGOTNEXT” will provide the Playoffs-themed gear without players having to spend their VC.

According to the game’s Twitter feed dated March 14, some special items were made available exclusively for March 17, Tuesday, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. The MyPLAYER store items included a set of cheat codes giving players as much as 15,000 in virtual currency, and 20 percent off on Legendary and League packs in a MyTeam Pack Sale.

According to game websites, NBA 2K15 will also be releasing a Patch 4 update for PS4 and PC in the near future to fix previously complained-about shoe glitch, and improve game stability.

NBA 2K15 is Visual Concepts and 2KSports’ 16th game in the series released October last year for Windows, PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360.

George R.R. Martin debunks rumors of an early publication date for ‘Winds of Winter’

Christian Post Report – Fantasy author George R.R. Martin has given another hint he may be finishing the sixth book in his epic series of “A Song of Fire and Ice” within this year.

George R.R. Martin has given fans of his book new hope after letting slip another hint he will be getting down to seriously work on finishing “The Winds of Winter” by 2015.

The hint came after the notoriously combative author announced he would be skipping the Comic-Con in San Diego this month, and the World Fantasy Convention in Saratoga Springs, New York in November to concentrate on completing the sixth book in his “A Song of Fire and Ice” series.

The hint was revealed on Martin’s LiveJournal blog where he apologized in advanced to his fans for his future absence at the World Fantasy Convention this fall.

“I have too much to do. Too many things on my plate. Son of Kong foremost amongst them,” Martin wrote on his blog, referring to “The Winds of Winter,” which the author has dubbed the “Son of Kong,” as an allusion to the idiom, “monkey on my back.”

He also dropped the zinger on fans when he added he had decided against attending the Comic-Con, as well.

“Should I complete and deliver WINDS OF WINTER before these cons roll round, I reserve the right to change my mind,” he said.

The broad hint sent fans into a fever frenzy on social media, despite Martin’s not actually confirming for a fact that he would be finishing the sixth book for certain.

Martin had previously blogged he would not be releasing “The Winds of Winter” this year. Given the American fantasy author’s penchant for adopting a fractious attitude over delivery deadlines, however, fans of the series will just have to cross their fingers and hope for a 2015 miracle.

Christian Post Report – The latest resurrection of The Pirate Bay has successfully thwarted global efforts at ISP-level site blocking and other threats, giving users an easier downloading process from the site.

After its most recent resurgence following its December 2014 raid and shutdown by Swedish police, BitTorrent site, The Pirate Bay has come back stronger than ever, resisting site blocks from ISPs and circumventing DDos attacks and other shut down measures.

After the raid last year that put the site effectively offline and resulted in the arrest of a crew member, TPB rose from the ashes with a phoenix logo on its domain in Jan. 31 this year. The new site has effectively skirted threats to its current existence on the web by recruiting a middleman company to sift through the enormous amounts of traffic to thepiratebay.se.

TPB drafted the services of CloudFare, a U.S.-based content delivery network company and domain name server system that provides online security and accelerates website performance. CloudFare not only manages TPB traffic, but its service includes a routing system that successfully hides The Pirate Bay’s information from ISP’s, making it difficult for them to impede access to the infamous peer-to-peer file sharing portal.

CloudFare has also provided TPB with extra security for its users with the use of Full SSL encryption, hiding their IP addresses and making it faster and easier to facilitate file sharing on the site.

This puts CloudFare in the line of legal fire if anti-piracy groups decide to hold it accountable, and TPB has announced its partnership with the service is a temporary one to handle its volume of traffic for the time being.

After TPB’s contract with CloudFare ends, it may only be a matter of time before the law catches up with its copyright infringement operation and shuts it down again, unless the BitTorrent site continues to stay one step ahead of authorities and other ISP’s gunning for its downfall.

Christian Post Report – It seems that the revival of the crime drama series “Twin Peaks” is in danger of not happening. Despite Showtime’s nine-episode order of the series’ reboot last October 2014, the show’s creator David Lynch recently made some disturbing statements about his involvement in the show’s revival.

At his new exhibit “Between Two Worlds” in a Queensland Art Gallery, he spoke about the show’s development and said that “There are complications.” In another interview in Australia, as reported in Esquire, he said that he has not officially “returned yet” and that they are still “working on the contract.”

Showtime was quick to counter the impression that the reboot is not happening. In a report in Entertainment Weekly, an insider from the network said that this was not the case. The network reportedly has in their hands all the scripts for the nine episodes from Mark Frost and David Lynch. They have also signed on Kyle Machlachlan to reprise his role as FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper in the series’ revival. The insider said that “Everything is moving forward and everybody is crazy thrilled and excited.” He also said that what they were going through with David Lynch was merely part of the “pre-production process.”

Some observers expressed their concern if indeed Lynch will not return to direct the series. One report said that Lynch as “the transcendental meditation guru and experimental artist cracked the original show as he went, incorporating nightmare images culled from days on set.” It was his vision that created a series that was not only popular but also critically-acclaimed.

“Twin Peaks” was first broadcast on ABC in April 1990. The show ran for two seasons, the first season having eight episodes and the second season running 22 episodes. According to Wikipedia, it became one of the top-rated shows in the 1990s and was a critical success nationally and internationally.

Production will start within the year and the series is set to be released sometime 2016. Up until Showtime issues an official statement otherwise, fans will need to hold their breath.

Christian Post Report – Following the footsteps of their big sister, Kim Kardashian, Kylie and Kendall Jenner are planning to cash in on their popularity through their own mobile game app. The youngest members of Jenner-Kardashian brood recently announced their new venture through Instagram.

The sisters will be working with Glu Mobile, the same game developers who released their sister Kim’s game called “Kim Kardashian: Hollywood.” The game reportedly earned a whopping $74 million last year and is projected to earn around $200 million this year, according to a report in ET Online.

Their announcement featured a preview of how their characters will look like in the game. Glu Mobile on the other hand, gave out some details about the game in a press release: “Featuring the voices, likenesses, and creative influences of Kendall and Kylie, the game will allow players to interact with the sisters as friends and mentors as they work to realize their creative and career aspirations.”

This is the second time that Glu Mobile is working with members of the Kardashian clan. The company believes that the sisters’ popularity, much like their sister Kim, will bring profits to this new venture. The game is expected to be released sometime late 2015.

Kendall Jenner, 19, is a popular fashion model who has been gracing the fashion runways of Paris and New York, among others. Like her sisters, she is also seen in the reality show, Keeping Up With the Kardashians. Kylie Jenner, 17, aside from the reality show, is said to be creating her own line of hair products. Both sisters also are designing a line of clothing for PacSun and are said to have written a young adult novel together that is available on Amazon.

There are also reports that the E! Network is contemplating on creating a new spinoff reality TV series featuring the sisters, but these have yet to be confirmed, according to another report in ET Online.

Christian Post Report – After a terrible game against the New York Knicks, the San Antonio Spurs managed to get things going once more after they beat the Milwaukee Bucks last night. Six Spurs players finished in double figures to keep the young Bucks team at bay, 114-103.

Danny Green led all scorers with his 20 points, and he added eight rebounds as well. The pair of Tim Duncan and Tony Parker combined for 34 points, helping San Antonio win eight of its last 10 games.

The Bucks had six players in double figures as well, led by rookie Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 19 points, nine boards, three assists, and two blocked shots.

The Spurs shot well from the field, 50 percent, and drained 8 out of 20 3-point shots. They only shot 3 of 14 the other day against the Knicks.

“It’s basketball, not magic,” coach Gregg Popovich said. “You have to do things consistently and well more than the other team for the 48 minutes.”

San Antonio led from the get-go and established a nine-point lead at the half, 63-54. The Spurs continued their momentum with a 13-3 spurt to begin the third period, leading by double figures as the fourth quarter began.

Antetokounmpo made some tough shots in the beginning of the fourth to cut the Spurs’ lead to 11, with 6:43 remaining.

However, two solid plays from Duncan sealed the deal for San Antonio, who will host the Boston Celtics on Friday.

“(Popovich) is always going to have his guys ready,” Bucks coach Jasod Kidd said. “They are the world champs. (The Spurs) move the ball as well as anyone. They shot the 3 extremely well and they have seen everything.”

Milwaukee will next face the Brooklyn Nets, also on Friday.

Christian Post Report – Everyone knew it would be a great year for the mobile industry when LG and Xiaomi announced two powerful devices in January. Xiaomi unleashed its brand new Mi Note Pro and Mi Note to the delight of its Chienese fans. LG also had its fair share of the spotlight as it unveiled the next-generation of its curved LG G Flex.

More than two months later and the Korean manufacturer will reportedly release the Android-powered phone in India. According to a report by GSM Arena, the LG G Flex 2 will hit Indian stores, and probably some India-based carriers by the end of the month.

The device has already received huge attention in its home market in Korea, and it is now on its way to dominate the international scene as well. Interested buyers of the new LG device will need to save up Rs. 55,000 or around $878.

Unfortunately, fans of bigger storage devices may be disappointed, as the LG G Flex 2 that would soon hit India will only come with the 32GB option.

The LG G Flex 2 is the Korean brand’s successor to its successful G Flex. It boasts a smaller 5.5-inch display with a higher Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution, a better 3GB RAM, and a faster Snapdragon 810 chipset.

Behind the device is a 13MP OIS-powered rear shooter, a 2.1MP front camera, a huge 3,000mAh battery and Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.

In previous reports, LG may be giving the G Flex 2 some time to penetrate the international market before it announces its brand new flagship, the LG G4, as well as an unnamed Android phablet.

Christian Post Report – Windows 10 is finally hitting the market a couple of months from now, and most PC fans are already excited about what this new OS can offer them. However, as early as now, there are some reports claiming that the Win10 is already DOA or dead or arrival mainly because the market has waited too long for Microsoft.

Now, according to a report by GSM Arena, it looks like the Redmond, Wash.-based technology giant has partnered with one of China’s biggest companies in order to bring the new Windows 10 to the world’s biggest market.

In the report, Lenovo will allegedly offer Windows 10 upgrade services all throughout the Asian nation. In addition, the electronics company will also develop new smartphones running Win10.

Based on the report, Lenovo will launch a number of Windows-powered smartphones by the middle of 2015.

Announced last year, the Windows 10 OS will be Microsoft’s answer to the decreasing demand for PCs and WP-powered handsets.

In order to manage users better, as well as offer streamlined services that are standard across all devices, the tech giant will allow the new Windows 10 to run on PCs, laptops, tablets, and mobile phones.

One major problem Microsoft might face when releasing the brand new operating system is the serious piracy problem in the region.

As a result, the Redmond-based company reportedly partnered with a number of firms namely Tencent, Qihu 360, and even Xiaomi to offer Windows 10 to their respective consumers as a free upgrade.

In a report by the Windows Blog, users can upgrade to Windows 10 even if they are running pirated versions of Windows.
