God Is The Provider!

God Is The Provider!

One of the names of God is Jehovah Jireh, which means “the Lord our provider” or “the Lord will provide.” It’s so wonderful to know that God is our source for everything we need and He cares about everything we care about. There’s no need so small that He doesn’t know about it, and nothing too big that He can’t provide for us.
He is omniscient (all knowing), omnipresent (everywhere, all the time), and omnipotent (all powerful). (See Jeremiah 42:11 AMP.)

Christian Post Report – The Bible says He’s…
• Our shelter, refuge and hiding place (Psalm 91)
• The one who comforts us (2 Corinthians 1:3)
• Our healer (Psalm 103:3)
• The source of wisdom (James 1:5)
• And everything else we need!
The Lord is your Provider. He loves you and He has a good plan for your life. He wants to bless you so you can fulfill His plan and purpose…so you can really enjoy your life. And in His Word, He tells us who He is and how we can access everything we need through Christ.

The problem is, sometimes we miss out on what God wants to do in in our lives because we go to people, expecting them to give us what we need, instead of God. Now, God will work through the people He puts in our lives to help us, but we need to go to Him first and let Him determine the best way to meet our needs.

Your Truth . . . or THE Truth?

Your Truth . . . or THE Truth?

In the movie, “Couples Retreat,” four couples who are all friends travel to a tropical island resort in order to strengthen their marriages. During a therapy session with his wife, Dave (Vince Vaughn) gets a little defensive and tells their personal counselor, “I know my truth.” Interesting, those four words pretty well sum up the dominant mindset in America over the past 50 years.

Christian Post Report – From the time children start school until the day they die, Americans are bombarded with the philosophy of moral relativism. We can all have our own truth, or so goes the theory. The 1960s ushered in significant change in America, but the biggest transition had to do with the way Americans think about truth. This paradigm shift paved the way for a philosophical revolt against any notion of absolute truth, and it allowed man to define his own “truth.”

So when Vince Vaugh said, “I know my truth,” he was merely echoing the sentiment of the culture around us. Ever since his birth in 1970, Vince has been immersed in a culture where truth is thought to be “up for grabs.” And because of it, the most egregious offense in our society is perceived to take place when a person claims that someone else’s beliefs are “wrong.”

‘Call of Duty’ News, Update: Black Ops 3 or World at War 2?

Black Ops II YOUTUBE SCREENSHOT

Activision and Treyarch’s “Black Ops II”

Christian Post Report – Fresh from the huge success of their 2014 edition of “Call of Duty” titled “Advanced Warfare,” publisher Activision previously announced that the next COD series will be released this fall and that the studio who will handle the development will be Treyarch.

“We have Treyarch developing the game. We’ll have a larger installed base of next-gen hardware to sell into, and we believe our Q4 new release can be one of our best games yet. So we think the future is bright,” Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg said.

Treyarch is the house that brought the top selling “Black Ops” series as well as the 2008 hit “World at War.” Activision, however, didn’t reveal if the studio will continue on Black Ops 3 or World at War. Some even say that it could be a different game altogether.

A recent update from Express U.K. meanwhile cited Treyarch’s official Twitter page posting a cryptic message that says:

“We look forward to carrying on the conversation … that is, if we haven’t started it already. #InDevelopment” the tweet reads.

This confirms that the next COD title is already on its way to completion. Interpreting the “carrying on the conversation” can be understood as the next game being a sequel.

However, for those who don’t want to wallow on mere speculations, a report from Gamespot indicated that any update about the next COD shouldn’t be expected until May, wherein Activision usually unveils details of their new Call of Duty games.

Movie Review: ‘Do You Believe?’ Better Than ‘God’s Not Dead’; Not Made Just for Christian Moviegoers

Christian Post Report – 2

What’s the best evangelistic movie ever? By that, I mean the best film that has, at its core, the Gospel – and one that makes the message of Christ the film’s theme.

I have a new nomination, and it comes out in theaters March Christian Post Report – 20.

(Courtesy of Pure Flix)

It has a cast of several well-known actors and actresses, including Golden Globe winner Cybill Shepherd (“Moonlighting”), Academy Award winner Mira Sorvino (“Like Dandelion Dust”) and Screen Actors Guild winner Sean Astin (“The Lord Of The Rings,” “Rudy”), along with former pro football player Brian Bosworth and Lee Majors (“The Six Million Dollar Man,” “The Fall Guy”).

It’s fast-paced and well-produced, boasts solid acting, and has an amazing musical score. The first third and final third of the movie are particularly impressive, with an ending that has enough surprises that you won’t be making any bathroom runs.

It’s a movie made for non-Christians and Christians alike. It forces non-Christians to ask “do I believe?” but urges Christians to consider: I believe, but now what will I do?

Like “God’s Not Dead,” it has a few “that-would-never-happen-in-real-life” moments, but it is, after all, a movie.

“Do You Believe?” succeeds in part because we all can relate to at least one of the characters. It follows a young couple struggling with infertility, an elderly couple coping with the loss of a child, a woman and her daughter who are homeless, a gang member who feels convicted about his actions, a soldier suffering from PTSD, a teen mom who has been abandoned, a middle-aged man who is battling cancer, a young woman contemplating suicide, and a married physician and attorney who are both arrogant workaholics.

Their lives intersect and they must all deal with the same question that a street preacher presents at the beginning: Do you believe?

do you believe (Courtesy of Pure Flix)

The majority of movie critics will likely give it poor reviews, partially because it is more overtly evangelistic than any successful faith-based theatrical movie in recent history. But I’m guessing those who see the film will like it.

It will open in more than 1,Christian Post Report – 200 theaters nationwide, and is rated PG-13 for thematic elements, an accident sequence and some violence. It contains no language or sexuality.

White, the producer, said the Pure Flix team already is working on its next project, “God’s Not Dead Christian Post Report – 2,” which is scheduled for release in March Christian Post Report – 2016.

Malaysian Flight MH370 News, Update: Aviation Expert Discusses Russian Hijacking Possibility

Malaysia's acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein (PHOTO: REUTERS)

Malaysia’s acting Transport Minister Hishammuddin Hussein answers questions during a news conference about the missing Malaysia Airlines MH370 plane at Kuala Lumpur International Airport on March 12, 2014.

Christian Post Report – The Malaysian Airlines flight MH370 is still missing up to this day. With over a year since its disappearance, countless theories and speculations arise pointing out to the reason behind its seemingly mysterious dematerialization.

The most recent analysis indicates the involvement of Russia which as what this aviation expert claims was carried out by its natives.

A report from Express U.K. cited Jeff Wise, who looks back at the existing data and re-evaluates them. It leads him to believe that “someone with ‘sophisticated’ knowledge” may have gotten their hands on the plane’s flight data.

His suspicions particularly fell on Russia who, as Wise believes, has advanced knowledge in the aviation industry. With this at hand, it would be easy for them to make alterations on MH370’s flight data.

Wise went on to specify that the three Russian nationals who were reportedly seen boarding the missing aircraft could have executed the plan of gaining access to the aircraft’s satellite transmission and maybe took over the flight controls.

“There were three ethnically Russian men aboard MH370,” Wise told South China Morning Post. “They definitely struck me as the sort who might battle Liam Neeson in mid-air.”

The tampering, as he explained, would serve the purpose of confusing search operatives.

“That would require an almost inconceivably sophisticated hijack operation, one so complicated and technically demanding that it would almost certainly need state-level backing,” he said. “This was true conspiracy-theory material.”

Jan. 29 of this year, the Malaysian Department of Civil aviation ruled out the disappearance of the Boeing 777 aircraft as an “accident based on international aviation rules,” The Malaysian Insider wrote. All of its 239 passengers and its in-flight crew were declared by the agency as dead.

The search for the missing flight was funded by multiple countries including Australia, China, and Malaysia.

Christian Post Report – Recent Windows 10 release date news indicate that Microsoft is planning to roll out the highly anticipated Operating System this summer and that the update will arrive free of charge for all devices running on Windows, regardless of the authenticity of the software copies.

A report from ReCode indicated that the move from the Redmond, Wash.-based tech company would “legitimize” all versions of its software being run onto the hundreds of millions of units in China.

Microsoft’s operating system Chief Terry Myerson said that the company is “upgrading all qualified PCs, genuine and non-genuine, to Windows 10.” He added that the plan is really to “re-engage” users in China who currently utilize the OS through pirated means.

It was reported that illegal versions of Windows are proliferating in China wherein the number of unlicensed software comprised about 75 percent of the total PCs in the country.

Myerson added that the update is expected to roll out “this summer.”

Although it isn’t clear if the new OS upgrade would only be limited to China or not, a report from Gizmodo points out The Verge saying that it will be available for all users “globally.”

In a statement released to the publication, it was further confirmed that “anyone with a qualified device can upgrade to Windows 10, including those with pirated copies of Windows.”

“We believe customers over time will realize the value of properly licensing Windows and we will make it easy for them to move to legitimate copies,” the company continued.

Back in China, Window’s anti-piracy software campaign will be aided with PC manufacturing giant, Lenovo; security company Qihoo 360 Technology; and social networking firm, Tencent Holdings.

Christian Post Report – Actress Sofia Vergara, from the sitcom “Modern Family,” arrives at the 70th annual Golden Globe Awards in Beverly Hills, California, January 13, 2013

Media outlet Extra caught up with the 42-year-old Colombian star who appeared during the Los Angeles Paley Fest panel discussion event for her hit TV show in March 14 and was asked to shed off some light about her wedding plans.

“I don’t know, how can something be postponed when it has never been set? It’s really funny,” Vergara told Us Magazine.

The conversation later on indicates that although the date for their big day hasn’t been set yet, she did however enjoyed making the preparations with loved ones.

“It’s always a lot of fun for girls to plan the wedding,” Sofia shared.

Us Weekly meanwhile pointed out that though the actress/businesswoman previously suggested a fall wedding with Manganiello, it does seems like they will settle for a summer event.

“I always get upset, because my favorite job of all the jobs I do is going to work on the set of Modern Family,” she said at the PaleyFest Panel. “It’s like a family. Now I have four months of hiatus.”

Other than her busy schedule with the ABC TV sitcom, Sofia still has other things to attend to including the forthcoming action-comedy flick which she starred with Reese Witherspoon.

“I’m going to be promoting Hot Pursuit, it comes out May 8 with Reese Witherspoon. So the rest of March and April is going to be promoting a movie. Then hopefully I’ll get to do something else during the hiatus,” she added.

Both Sofia and the “True Blood” actor began dating back in July last year. The latter has reportedly proposed to the “Happy Feet Two” voice-actress while they were on a Christmas vacation in Hawaii.

‘Hotel Transylvania 2’ News: New Trailer Released, Plot Details Revealed

Hotel Transylvania 2 Facebook/ Hotel Transylvania

Vlad (left), Drac and Mavis in a still from Hotel Transylvania 2

Christian Post Report – The first trailer of the animated movie “Hotel Transylvania 2” has been released by Sony Pictures Animation and it reveals some of the upcoming movie’s plot details. It will hit theaters on September 25, 2015.

The movie is a sequel to the 2012 hit “Hotel Transylvania,” which was about Dracula who owned a special hotel for monsters like himself to get away from humans and get their own kind of “vacation.” In the first film, Dracula invites his group of monster friends, the Drac Pack, to his daughter’s 118th birthday. Their celebration is somewhat spoiled by the appearance of a human, Jonathan, in the “no-humans allowed” hotel. As it turns out, Dracula’s daughter, Mavis, falls in love with Jonathan.

In the sequel, as can be gathered from the newly released trailer, Dracula is a doting grandfather to a young boy who looks much like his father, Jonathan. According to a report in Moviefone, the little boy in the trailer is Dennis and is indeed the son of Johnny and Mavis.

“Dennis isn’t showing any signs of becoming a monster, so Drac takes it upon himself to get the fangs out of him, as we say in the movie,” the film’s director, Genndy Tartakovsky said. “One of the things is teaching him how to fly. It’s the old metaphor of throwing somebody into a lake to learn how to swim. So he throws him off of this huge tower to see if he grows wings and becomes a bat.”

The trailer also hints who is coming back in the sequel. Dracula (voiced by Adam Sandler) is again joined by his friends: Frankenstein’s Monster (voiced by Kevin James), The Invisible Man (David Spade) and Werewolf (Steve Buscemi) and the Mummy (this time, voiced by Keegan-Michael Key). Selena Gomez returns to voice Mavis, and Andy Samberg as Johnny.

A new character appears in the sequel and this is Dracula’s father, Vlad, voiced by the legendary Mel Brooks. Tartakovsky describes his character as “an old-school vampire” who “has not assimilated at all with the humans. He doesn’t know Dracula runs the hotel. He and Dracula have parted ways. So where we pick it up in the movie, Dracula really needs his help because he’s the authority on vampires. Drac’s got to keep it all a big secret.”

F1 2015 News: Summer Release Date Rumored for Xbox One, PS4 and PC

F1 2015 F1 Games from Codemasters/Facebook

Announcing: F1 2014 and beyond… F1 Games from Codemasters. Facebook. Aug. 1, 2014.

Christian Post Report – The latest F1 racing video game may see a PC, PS4 and Xbox One release within the next two months.

The popular racing video game F1 is reportedly being released for public consumption in June this year. F1 2015 is scheduled to be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, and is reportedly following the lead of the actual Formula One season by pushing an earlier launch.

While British developer Codemasters has had the tradition of releasing a new F1 game every September or October, new information culled from internal emails leaked in February, point to a summer release date for the F1 2015.

Based on the leaked emails between Codemasters developers, this year’s version has been described as “truly stunning” after top-to-bottom re-engineering and recent tweaks to optimize the game to run at 60 frames per second for the new-gen consoles.

Screenshots, which reportedly formed part of a confidential internal email, were also leaked and posted on the F1 Game Memes Facebook page.

With F1 2014 not as well received as its predecessors, this year’s game may not only include new features, but graphical innovation, as well, for a better overall end product.

According to Codemasters, they will be releasing regular updates in accordance of the actual Formula One results this season. F1 2015 will be including select 2014 cars alongside new models, with downloadable content updates featuring more 2015 vehicles scheduled for release later in the year.

Special hybrid 2015 racers will also be present, incorporating parts from 2014 and 2015 model cars.

With the actual Formula One season having begun last weekend, racing fans can look forward to a June release date for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, with DLC updates scheduled all the way to November 2015 when the Formula One season ends.
