Christian Post Report – Apple is set to launch its newest device, the Apple Watch, on Monday during their “Spring Forward” event in San Francisco. The event has a start time of 1 p.m. ET and can be watched online through live stream via the Apple website (details below).

Apple sent out invitations to U.S. and U.K. tech journalists earlier this month for their March 9 “Spring Forward” special event to be held at the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco, where a new product, the Apple Watch will reportedly be unveiled.

The initial teaser reveal for the Smart Watch last September during the unveiling of iPhone 6 and Apple Pay disclosed the wearable’s sleek body, some details, and an initial price point. On March 9, the occasion will fully highlight the device, including specifics on when and where it will be available, what it will do, and how much it is going to cost.

While Apple did mention the starting price for a Smart Watch will begin at $349, some versions of the device are expected to be more expensive. There are currently three known versions: the regular Smart Watch, the Watch Sport, and the yellow gold or rose gold Watch Edition, the latter currently estimated to retail between $4,999 to $7,500.

The Smart Watch, which is intended as an add-on for the iPhone and will communicate with it via Bluetooth, will reportedly be available in a host of color cases and bands users can choose from.

Apart from telling time, the new wearable will activate its display with the simple motion of raising a wrist, differentiate between a touch and a press, track a user’s number of steps and other fitness data, feature a mini-sketchpad for users to draw and send small pictures to contacts, transmit heartbeat data to another Smart Watch user, support the company’s latest payment system — the Apple Pay, and like a futuristic film scenario, allow users to take phone calls via their wrist.

Battery life for the Smart Watch is expected to be pegged at 2.5 hours for heavy app use, four hours for fitness tracking, and up to a reported 19 hours of battery life with normal wear. Sources are also saying the device may be available in the U.S. as early as March 20.

Christian Post Report – “19 Kids and Counting” star Jessa Duggar and her husband of four months, Ben Seewald, recently took to Instagram on Thursday, March 5, to share romantic pictures of them taken during a stroll on a beach in Tybee Island, Georgia.

Jessa posted a picture of their footprints on the beach and captioned it, “Me and you walking side by side through life! @ben_seewald #FootprintsInTheSand.”

In another shot, the 22-year-old is seen with her spouse as they gaze at the camera with waves rolling behind them. She captioned the photo, “Windy but beautiful evening on Tybee Island beach just before sunset!”

In another image, the couple made a heart shape with their hands and Jessa wrote, “Best friends!”

Another photo features the two of them sharing a kiss at sunset.

Jessa and Ben are in Georgia as the reality star is set to make a personal appearance at the Southern Women’s Show in the nearby city of Savannah to meet fans and talk about the TLC reality show and the 2014 book “Growing Up Duggar: It’s All About Relationships” which she co-wrote with her sisters Jill, Jinger, and Jana.

“Married life is awesome,” said Jessa to the South Carolina newspaper The Island Packet. “I’m loving getting to be married to my best friend and getting to spend each day together. I really couldn’t imagine anything else I’d rather do.”

The couple wed in Arkansas in a church on Nov. 1. The two are shown planning their wedding during the current season of “19 Kids and Counting” and a footage of the ceremony is set to air later this year.

After all of the hype and excitement about the Cavaliers this year, it looks like Cleveland may be losing one of its key players next season.

Christian Post Report – According to a report from ESPN’s Chris Boussard, almost all of the executives he talked with believed that Love will be leaving Cleveland after this season.

Before the season began, Love was traded to the Cavs for the last two first overall draft picks, Anthony Bennett and Andrew Wiggins.

There was definitely a promising future for Cleveland to return to the Finals and get their first ever NBA title. With LeBron James and Kyrie Irving already suited up for the team, that goal seemed possible.

However, enter Love and the once elusive title could finally come to Cleveland this year.

Unfortunately, everything did not go as planned this season for the Cavs. Adjustments on offense and defense, and who will shoot the ball during crunch time were some of the issues the team encountered.

While Cleveland currently sits at number four of the Eastern Conference, it looks like Love will be testing free agency grounds this coming free agency period.

According to Steve Kyler of Basketball Insiders, Boston is certainly on the lookout for the power forward.

“The Celtics have a ton of cash and are geared up to use it. Target number one is Kevin Love,” he wrote.

Still, while there is nothing official just yet, Cleveland management better do something if they want to keep one of the league’s leading rebounders in the roster next season.

CBS is beginning production on its DC Comics adaptation of “Supergirl” and Warner Bros. released a teaser photo of lead actress Melissa Benoist in her “Supergirl” costume.

Christian Post Report – With Warner Bros. “Supergirl” TV series due to start in the fall of 2015, the studio released its first images of its titular character, played by “Glee” alum, Melissa Benoist in full costume.

With darker colors in keeping with the theme started with 2013 “Man of Steel” lead, Henry Cavill, Benoist’s iconic costume features a dark blue long-sleeved top that appears to be made of a tightly-woven mesh material, a short pleated miniskirt echoing the pattern of her top, thigh-high leather boots, and a classic superhero cape. The skirt, boots and cape match the dark red hue of the embossed rubber “S” logo on her chest.

The pilot episode begins filming this week, and 26-year-old Benoist will begin her role as Kara Zor-El, who escapes Krypton’s destruction and seeks refuge on earth incognito as Kara Danvers before choosing to embrace her powers after years of hiding her true identity.

The “Supergirl” cast includes former “Desperate Housewives” actor, Mehcad Brooks as the first black Jimmy Olsen, Broadway actress Laura Benanti as Kara’s mother, Alura Zor-El, “Ally McBeal” star Calista Flockhart as Kara’s boss, Cat Grant, “Grey’s Anatomy” actress Chyler Leigh as Kara’s adoptive sister Alex Danvers, “Homeland’s” David Harewood cast as government agent Hank Henshaw, and Jeremy Jordan as DC Comics villain Toyman.

It was earlier announced that Dean Cain, the 1993 to 1997 “Lois and Clark’s” Superman, and 1984 ex-“Supergirl” Helen Slater will have guest starring roles on the series. However, Warner Bros. has yet to announce the characters they will be playing.

“Supergirl” getting the greenlight at CBS marks the first time the network has shown a female superhero lead in more than 10 years. In 2011 NBC nearly launched a Warner Bros. “Wonder Woman” pilot episode starring Adrianne Palicki in the lead, but opted not to buy the series after the character’s costume was roundly criticized.

Benoist costume has been crafted by Oscar-winning designer, Colleen Atwood with the vision of blending elements from the past with modern street-style action hero fashion.

Christian Post Report – Following the trends set up by big mobile manufacturers like Apple, with their iPhone 5s, and recently with Samsung on their Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge, rumors indicate that LG might be integrating the fingerprint scanner technology on its next purported flagship, the LG G4.

A report from website Korea Herald cited several sources saying that the South Korean tech giant is currently on the lookout to introduce a fingerprint sensor on the G4.

“LG Electronics has recently decided to deploy a fingerprint sensor on its next flagship smartphone and the scanner will be placed at the back of the device,” an informer said.

As indicated by the person with the knowledge of the issue, the sensor will likely be positioned in the power button on the back.

The site noted that LG officials have denied the said plans of a fingerprint sensor-embedded LG G4.

As time goes by, fingerprint scanning has slowly becoming a staple in mobile manufacturing. Just recently, Qualcomm announced its new type of fingerprint readers which greatly relies on 3D scanning – a feature which could surpass the already popular Touch ID technology from Apple in terms of speed and security.

With the upsurge of this particular technology trend, it seems about right for LG to join the bandwagon.

“LG has been left behind in the race for fintech (portmanteau of finance and technology) as it has continued to postpone the adoption of fingerprint technology,” another source said. “With more global smartphone-makers incorporating a fingerprint reader, which is a security measure for mobile payments, LG may have had few options left but to deploy the authentication sensor for its next marquee smartphone.”

The purported LG G4 will be brought to open “within the second quarter” of 2015 and will be followed after with another “premium handset” in the later part of the year.

Christian Post Report – Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra recently signed with ABC to join the cast of the network new terrorist drama series “Quantico.” She will play a female lead role opposite Jake McLaughlin. This is her first assignment in the US and it is also the first time a Bollywood star joins a pilot on ABC, according to reports.

“I took a leap of faith when (ABC head of casting) Keli Lee asked me to join the ABC family, and I’m so excited to be a part of the pilot for ‘Quantico’ alongside an incredibly talented cast and production team,” she told Variety.

Priyanka will play Jake MacLaughlin’s love interest. According to The Daily Mail, the two will meet on a flight where MacLaughlin’s character will charm Priyanka. He will eventually be discovered as pretending to someone he is not.

Other confirmed cast members include Aunjanue Ellis of “The Mentalist,” Dougray Scott of “Taken 3,” Tate Ellington, Graham Rogers, Johanna Braddy and Yasmine Al Massri.

The series will be centered on the story of a group of young FBI recruits as they are going through rigid training in the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. Each of the recruits have their own dark backstories and reasons for joining the FBI and this will be explored in the series. One of the recruits will turn out to be a “sleeper terrorist” who took part in the 9/11 terrorist attack in the U.S. The show will toggle between present-day and flashbacks, according to Variety.

The series is penned and executive produced by “Gossip Girl’s” Josh Safran. The network has yet to announce when the series will be shown, but it is among ABC’s line up of pilots for TV season 2015-2016.

Priyanka has more than 20 films under her belt and also won the Miss Universe crown in 2000. She will continue to work in Bollywood while working with ABC.

Bungie, the creator of the first-person shooter game “Destiny,” announced during the San Francisco Game Development Conference that the game now has over 17 million registered users. According to the user research study that was presented, the average playing time of each user is pegged at three hours per day, which is higher than what Bungie initially expected when they developed the game.

When the game was launched in September 2014, the game’s creators promised that it will continuously provide new content for the game within a 10 year period, which for them meant “building on” and enhancing the existing universe of the game rather than “restarting periodically.” During its launch, Bungie confirmed that there will be two expansion packs of downloadable content: “The Dark Below” and “The House of Wolves.” “The Dark Below,” the first expansion pack, was released in December 2014. “The House of Wolves,” on the other hand did not get a definite release date, with an estimated release date sometime during the second quarter of 2015.

In early February, rumors about a March release date for “The House of Wolves” started circulating, which were not confirmed. Come early March, several reports also came out that the second expansion pack will be ready by May 19. According to an IGN report, a Reddit user claimed that the pack will be unlocked by that time.

“The Queen’s Fallen have purchased their freedom with Awoken blood. Hunt down the traitors and your debt to the Queen will be paid.” It will include “new story missions and a new raid, along with three fresh multiplayer maps and a new strike,” a description about “The House of Wolves” expansion pack says.

All of these reports and leaks have been shared in an official forum for “Destiny.” The community manager of Bungie’s official forum, however, warned users that until Bungie makes official announcements about the game, none of what has been shared online is final.

Christian Post Report – The Chicago Blackhawks try to extend their winning streak to three games as they host the New York Rangers in the NHL.

To be played at the United Center, expect the Illinois crowd to be well behind their Blackhawks team as they face an Eastern Conference heavyweight.

Currently, Chicago are third in the Central Division, six points behind leaders Nashville Predators.

They also hold fourth place in the conference, and will surely want to maintain this spot in order to keep their spot for the playoffs.

Star Patrick Kane leads the team in both goals and assists with 27 and 37, repsectively. Arguably one of the best players in the league, Kane has unmatched pace and agility that leaves defences baffled.

The Rangers are coming of an overtime loss to the Detroit Red Wings and will look to bounce back with a win over a very strong opponent.

Also expected to be playoff-bound, the Rangers are fourth in the East, and are only five points behind conference leaders Montreal Canadians.

Rick Nash leads the team in total points with 60, with Derick Brassard and Martin St Louis close behind with 50 and 44, respectively.

Goalie Henrik Lundqvist is adding to his already legendary career with great numbers this year. He has an average save rate of 92%, only allowing 2.25 goals per game.

In recent years, New York have dominated Chicago as they have won their last four meetings.

The last time the Blackhawks won was in 2012. Their most recent clash was a tightly-contested battle, with the Rangers winning 3-2 after a penalty shootout.

And after this battle, these two teams are set to meet again in 10 days for their last meeting of the regular season.

Christian Post Report – Yu Darvish and the Texas Rangers have learned some very bad news that could threaten his 2015 season and require surgery. Darvish had some tightness in his Spring Training debut and the team was hoping that it was just the usual off-season rust. However, they were given the worst news possible after a MRI on the pitchers arm Friday. That MRI showed partially torn ligaments as well as inflammation in his right elbow.

“Not going to sugarcoat it, it’s not the news that we wanted. You basically have two choices: You can hang your head and kind of dwell on it or you can do everything you can to get him the right care and get him back,” Ranger’s GM Jon Daniels told ESPN Dallas/Fort Worth.

Darvish has two choices as well. He could try and pitch through the pain. Rest if for six weeks and then try to rebuild his stamina. Or he could have surgery that will effectively end his 2015 season and maybe beyond. Darvish will meet with Dr. David Altcheck, the New York Mets team physician, before making a final decision. The team shut down Darvish for the last seven week of the 2014 season with a similar issue.

“I will be disappointed if I have to miss this season, but I want to look at all the options including getting a second opinion before I make a final decision,” Darvish said. “My heart is with my teammates and our focus remains on accomplishing our goals.”

The Rangers have had the injury bug since the beginning of the 2014 season. They lost their young middle infielder Jurickson Profar for all of last season with a shoulder injury and may not get him back in 2015 as he just had another surgery on that shoulder. Lineup mainstays Prince Fielder, Shin-Soo Choo, and Mitch Moreland all missed significant time in 2014 along with other significant injuries in their starting rotation.
