After getting attacked, Abby talks to Stitch about Austin on The Young and the Restless

Christian Post Report – Last week on “The Young and the Restless,” Summer, Kevin, Noah, Sharon, and Faith get together. Kevin wonders if Austin stumbled upon some information that may have gotten him killed. Sharon hears Kevin tell the others that as long as whatever’s on Austin’s computer stays hidden, then they’ll be safe. Kevin leaves Noah in charge of the laptop, and later, Sharon looks at the laptop, wondering about the secrets in it.

Stitch is at home and thinks about the writing on the mirror. Victoria arrives and he tells her that someone was watching the house last night, and he thinks that it could be Abby’s attacker. This worries Victoria and she asks Stitch to watch out for Abby.

At the club, Kyle tells Abby that she was wise to hide there and stay away from Stitch. He tells her that as far as he’s concerned, Stitch is the one who killed Austin. Abby retires to her suite, and later there’s a knock on her door. It’s Stitch, and he tells her that he booked the room next door because Victoria wanted him to keep watch. When Abby appears to be afraid of him, Stitch is surprised that she thinks that he’s the one who attacked her. Abby admits that she got the idea from Kyle, and Stitch says that Kyle has a reason to lie.

Calvary Church hosted a screening of Little Boy.

Christian Post Report – Calvary Chapel hosted a special screening of “Little Boy” in Costa Mesa, California over the weekend where the film’s star, Jakob Salvati, joined his father onstage for a performance and a testimony.

Roma Downey and Mark Burnett’s latest feature film is set to hit theaters on April 24, but select church leaders enjoyed an early screening of “Little Boy” starring Salvati. Following the screening, Salvati and his father, Bruce Salvati, performed the worship song “How He Loves Me” before the family revealed the significance of the screening location.

“In 1977, I became a Christian because of the ministry of Calvary Chapel of the Orange Coast College Campus,” Bruce explained, according to The Christian Post exclusively. “It was a great privilege to be on the stage that gave birth to the Jesus movement and accompany my son on the guitar.”

Salvati went on to recognize the church’s influence on Hollywood while also citing Calvary Chapel’s founder, Pastor Chuck Smith.

“Every generation needs its own Jesus Movement and sometimes it takes different forms,” he said. “Maybe the next one will be in the area of movies. I only wish Pastor Chuck could have been here.”

Also during the evening, Calvary Chapel’s Pastor Dave Manne led a Q&A with Jakob who shed light on what it was like working on “Little Boy” with producers Downey and Burnett, revealing which is his favorite Bible verse, and thanking Calvary Chapel for hosting the screening. Manne reflected the child actor’s gratitude, citing Salvati as a blessing to the church.

“We were blessed by ‘Little Boy,’ but especially by the presence of Jakob,” said Mann. “The film was positive, entertaining, and inspiring, but everyone was moved by Jakob’s performance in the film. It’s rare to see such a young actor capturing such deep emotion with a genuine authenticity. Jakob truly drove the message of the film onto each one of our hearts.”

Elegantly designed and armed with impressive specs, the phone proves that it can go head to head against many top phones in the market. But how will it fare against Samsung’s 2014 best seller, the Galaxy Note 4? Here, we compare the two devices:

The HTC One M9 is superbly crafted, with its all-metal body and gently rounded back which makes it easier to hold. Color variations to choose from include a gold edge around a silver body, a polished silver edge around a dark grey body, and a polished gold edge around a gold body. The phone has an IP X3 rating and is splash resistant.

It’s available in black, gold, white, and pink.

Features:
Both phones have bright and clear screens with incredible pixel density counts. The HTC device has a 20MP rear camera and 4MP front camera, while the Samsung phone has a 16MP rear facing camera and 3.7MP front facing shooter.

Breakaway Episcopal Diocese Says Church Property Won’t Be Used to Host Gay Weddings

Diocese (Photo: SC Diocese)

A banner bearing the seal of the Protestant Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina.

Christian Post Report – A diocese that broke away from The Episcopal Church over theological differences and the treatment of its bishop has passed a resolution barring gay marriage ceremonies from being performed at its facilities.

The Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina, a church body that broke away from the liberal mainline church in 2012, passed the resolution earlier this month at their convention.

Known as Resolution R-4, the document was titled “A Resolution to Adopt a Standing Resolution on Marriage” and was passed in response to the current debate over marriage definition in the United States. The resolution also states that the diocese will only host weddings for couples (one man and one woman) “whose birth gender identities were respectively male and female.”

” … [I]t is important in a time of cultural uncertainty, that the Protestant Episcopal Church in the Diocese of South Carolina have a clear doctrinal expression of its position regarding the nature of Christian marriage as practiced by this church,” noted R-4’s one whereas clause.

Resolution R-4 went on to define marriage as having “only one meaning: the uniting of one man and one woman in a single, exclusive union, as delineated in Scripture.”

“The diocese will only recognize and solemnize marriages between a biological man and a biological woman, that is between two persons whose birth gender identities were respectively male and female,” continued the resolution.

“Further, the clergy and staff of the diocese shall only participate in weddings and solemnize marriages between one man and one woman. The facilities and property of the diocese shall only host weddings between one man and one woman.”

In November 2012 the diocese voted to leave the Episcopal Church because of the national denomination’s apparent mistreatment of its bishop, the Rev. Mark Lawrence.

Another point of contention was The Episcopal Church’s increasing acceptance of homosexuality over the past several years.

In January 2013, a lawsuit ensued over who had control of the diocesan name and property, the breakaway leadership or those in the diocese who remained loyal to The Episcopal Church.

Last month, Judge Diane Goodstein ruled in favor of the breakaway leadership, issuing an order that said they rightfully owned the approximately $500 million worth of church property.

Goodstein argued that the diocese owns all real and personal property, according the paperwork connected to the diocesan property.

“It is equally undisputed that there is nothing in the deeds of their real property referencing any trust in favor of TEC,” reads the 46-page decision.

The Episcopalians loyal to the denomination, who call themselves The Episcopal Church in South Carolina, intend to appeal the ruling.

Resolution R-4 came as part of the Diocese of South Carolina’s 224th Convention, held in Charleston on March 13-14.

Diocese Communications Director Joy Hunter wrote that Resolution R-4 was one of three overwhelmingly approved resolutions at the convention regarding marriage and sexuality.

“Resolution R-2 asked the Standing Committee to work with the Task Force on Marriage to develop marriage and employment policy recommendations to be acted upon, as needed, at the 2016 Diocesan Convention,” wrote Hunter. “Resolution R-3 charged the Task Force to develop educational resources for parishes regarding marriage and gender identity also to be presented at the 2016 Diocesan Convention.”

Christian Post Report – After years of speculations surrounding an upgrade, Apple is said to be gearing up to release a new Apple TV at the WWDC this coming summer.

Since its first launch in January 2007, Apple has revealed it is preparing to refresh its TV set top box that it will be releasing at the Worldwide Developer Conference in June 2015.

With the last update to the device dated 2012, the new Apple TV hardware is reportedly equipped with a ramped-up A8 chip processor and over 8GB in memory. With its updated OS, the new Apple TV will have Siri voice control capabilities, and the significant overhaul is intended to cast a spotlight on Apple’s vision for ideal TV viewing experience, as well as raise the ante in a set-top box cluttered market crowded by rivals like Amazon, Roku, and Xbox One.

The upgraded Apple TV will feature an updated design, and will act as a HomeKit hub, allowing users to connect some of their HomeKit certified home automation gadgets.

HomeKit refers to Apple’s protocol for all home automation devices users can safely connect to the iOS environment via WiFi radios or Bluetooth. There have been speculations an official version of HomeKit will be launched together with, and be available as part of the new Apple TV hardware package.

This news comes on the heels of reports Apple has been in negotiations with a number of media companies to launch a TV service offering a “slim” bundle of 25 channels from major networks.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple is close to inking deals with Walt Disney, 21st Century Fox, and CBS. Apple will also reportedly be making available a software development kit in its App Store for users to acquire more apps via Apple TV.

With the new Apple TV and HomeKit used together, users will be able to have remote access control of household devices like lights and thermostats, even if they are away from home.

John Piper Reveals Why PhDs in Theology Commit Adultery; Says They Cheat ‘Probably More’ Than ‘Less-Educated People’

John Piper (Photo: Screen Grab via Vimeo/DesiringGod.org)

Theologian, John Piper.

Christian Post Report – Chancellor of Bethlehem College & Seminary John Piper, disclosed in a recent sermon what he believes to be the reason why PhDs in theology commit adultery and argued that they cheat “probably more” than “less-educated people.”

“Look around in your life, in your church. How many Christians do you see bent with all their powers to know God more and more — more truly, more clearly, more sweetly? Or, rather, do you see thousands fighting graduate school sins with a grammar school knowledge of God?” asked Piper in a clip from a sermon posted on his desiringGod.org website.

He then revealed why he believes PhDs in theology commit adultery.

“Some of you might say, ‘Wait, there are as many PhDs in theology who commit adultery as less-educated people.’ To which I would say, ‘Probably more.’ Why is it that people with PhDs in theology commit adultery? They don’t know God,” said Piper.

“You can read theology 10 hours a day for 40 years and not know God as beautiful and all-satisfying — as the highest treasure of your life. Who cares about knowing God the way the devil knows God? He hates everybody. His knowledge of God helps him hate people,” said the 69-year-old Calvinist Baptist theologian.

“We’re talking about knowing God here in 1 Thessalonians. They don’t know God. They don’t know God for who He is — infinitely valuable, infinitely beautiful, infinitely satisfying — why your soul was made. There are more pleasures at His right hand, more eternal joys in His presence, than you could have in 10,000 sexual trysts.

If you know that, sin will have lost its dominion in your life,” he ended in the clip.

God of War 3 Remastered YouTube screenshot

Christian Post Report – Sony Computer Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio is celebrating the tenth year of the “God of War” franchise with the upcoming release of the “God of War 3” Remastered for PlayStation 4 consoles. It will be released in the US on July 14, and July 17 in the U.K.

“God of War 3” was originally released for the PlayStation 3 in March 2010. The remastered edition of the game for the PlayStation 4 is reported to have higher resolution graphics (now 1080p, as opposed to 720p for the PS3) and a better 60 frames per second performance, according to a report in Eurogamer.

The remastered PS4 edition will retail for $39.99. It is the one and only remastered edition that Santa Monica Studios will release of the “God of War” franchise. According to DualShockers, despite some fans asking about remastering other games in the series, the game’s developers are saying that there are no other remasters coming.

They also said why they did this remaster.

“Remasters often help us open the door to new players who perhaps did not play God of War 3 5yrs ago, but who we can bring it to on the PlayStation 4. People often forget, the more players we can bring into a franchise, the better for everyone. At Santa Monica Studio, we’d like as many PlayStation fans to experience our games as possible, from generation to generation,” Community Strategist Aaron Kaufman explained.

What else is to be expected from the remastered edition? Corly Barlog in his PlayStation blog described it as an “action packed thrill ride that will take series newcomers and regulars alike on a retina-popping thrill ride filled to the absolute brim with 1080p gameplay, silky smooth combat, earth-shaking weapons, bosses you simply have to face to believe.” The game will also have a new photo mode which allows players to take snapshots of gameplay and share it with friends.

“God of War 3” is a third-person action-adventure game developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Computer Entertainment.

‘Better Call Saul’ News, Spoilers: Jimmy Meets With Lawyers, Jonathan Banks Talks About Mike

Better Call Saul FACEBOOK/ Better Call Saul

AMC’s “Better Call Saul”

Christian Post Report – AMC’s hit “Breaking Bad” spin-off series “Better Call Saul” is only be two episodes away before it closes its first season. But the events are getting more exciting and intriguing as the show moves on in this week’s episode titled “Rico.”

Spoiler report from Penn Live cited a batch of promo photos for the upcoming segment showing the budding attorney Jimmy McGill (Bob Odendirk) discussing with his brother Chuck (Michael McKean) over something.

The elder McGill, as followers of the show remember, has seemed to shun off anything that involves his past life including electronics and legal works. But in this picture, it appears that he might be back on track and is helping his brother with a case.

The other photos also featured Jimmy sitting down with a group of suits while his future PI, Mike Ehrmantraut (Jonathan Banks) is shown back on his cubicle.

Speaking of Mike, fans were able to take a glimpse of his shady and troubled past in an episode before the last.

Filled with guilt and remorse over his actions, the former Philly cop journeyed to Albuquerque in hopes of correcting things particularly that of his son’s issues.

“He is somebody who carries his guilt…. If it’s not debilitating, it marks his life and there’s no amount of: ‘You must live ahead, look to the future.’ No, that’s not for Mike. Mike knows his guilt and he lives with his guilt,” Banks told The Vancouver Sun.

Discussing his character, Banks informed the publication that the investigation about Mike’s involvement in the killing of two Philly police officers is “not over yet.”

And for those who wondered how he became the man who had a close working relationship with Jimmy in Breaking Bad, the latest episode perhaps offered an idea.

“Mike is not without gratitude, you know. As much as Jimmy may be an irritant to him, he also realizes that the guy stood up for him just by spilling the coffee, if nothing else,” he added.

“Better Call Saul” airs this Monday, March 23 with episode titled “Rico” on AMC.
