The man who masterminded President Trump’s election success says he wants to revitalise Europe’s Catholic roots but critics claim his links to far right movements will see him drag the continent back to the Middle Ages.
According to reports, his plans would see political parties from across Europe send recruits to the 800 year old Trisulti monastery near Rome for training.
But some think it will be tantamount to a “fundamentalist academy”. One local MP has suggested she’ll take her fight against the monastery to the country’s parliament.
Some protesters claim locals are being forced out of the monastery with the introduction of an entry fee of 5 euros.
Those who oversee the monastery have begun charging for entry.
Benjamin Harnwell who runs the monastery says the price is simply down to the government needing income from the building.

A man who died after a minibus overturned, leaving 23 people injured, has been named by police.
Ross Jones Barker, 59, was a passenger on the private minibus carrying a group from Newtongrange to Kelso where it is thought they were heading to the races.
Police said that six men remain in hospital with serious injuries, but all are considered stable.
The crash happened on the A6089, between Carfraemill and Gordon in the Scottish Borders, at around 10.50am on Saturday.
Prayers for those involved will be said at Newtongrange Church Hall on Sunday evening.
The Rev Malcolm Muir said: “There is a solemnity across the village at the moment. Yesterday a lot of people were in shock.
“Tonight is about giving folk some space to share and come together and to talk about what has happened.
“Newtongrange is a tight-knit community though it is also very inclusive of people who have moved to the area, and it has a very strong sense of identity.”
A message on the church Facebook page said: “We send our love and prayers to the family of the man who has lost his life and to those injured for a speedy recovery.”
Many of those on the bus are believed to be regulars at The Dean Tavern in Newtongrange.
In a post on Facebook on Saturday, pub staff said: “The management and staff would like to pass on our condolences to those affected by the horrific accident on the way to Kelso today.
As we conclude this year, I want to recognize twenty church members who are incredible blessings to their churches. They were nominated by their pastors and church staff. My regret is limiting the list to twenty. I could have continued the list for many pages.
Below are each of the heroes and heroines, noted by their first names. The quote that follows is from the pastor or church staff member who made the nomination. These were my twenty finalists, but they are not in any particular order.
Lois, the example of hope and perseverance. “She lost her husband to a heart attack, lost two sons to cancer, and her daughter suffered brain damage due to a difficult delivery. In every testimony service, she would stand and say, ‘Pastor, God has been so good to me!’”
Laura, the sacrificial servant. “She is nearly 90 years old and still sweeps the sidewalks of our church every week despite our encouragements to let someone else handle it! She’s currently in rehab from a fall, but I guarantee you she’ll pick up the broom as soon as she’s able.”
Ronnie, the gospel sharer. “He shares the gospel with people all the time and is my number one prayer warrior. He loves my family and has taught my son (and me) many things I know nothing about, such as hunting, fishing, gun safety, and carpentry. Incredible encourager.”
George, the inviter. “He’s 85 years old and asks me to go visit with him. He’s constantly inviting people to church. He never misses a service or Sunday school class, even…

DEEPER CHRISTIAN LIFE MINISTRY END OF THE MONTH NATIONAL GS MESSAGE BROADCAST DECEMBER 2018 EDITION SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICE, 30TH DECEMBER, 2018 TOPIC: THE NEW BENEFICIARIES OF THE OLD, INEXHAUSTIBLE PROVISION TEXT: LEVITICUS 26:10-13 MINISTER: PASTOR W.F KUMUYI (LIVE FROM GBAGADA LAGOS, HQ)
“And ye shall eat old store, and bring forth the old because of the new” (Leviticus 26:10). Notice the two words there, the old and the new. Here is the provision, promise and prophetic utterance of the Lord, that you shall eat the old store, you will not cast out or abandon the old store.
We are going into the new year but we will not abandon our old building in which we are living, but we may renovate, paint and make it better and new.
Same applies to our bodies. It is the same bodies we are carrying into the new year. In the new year, we can make them healthier, happier and stronger, we will not abandon them.
The same family we had in the old year we carry into the new year. We might renew our covenants and relationships, we can make better provision for the family members, but we will not change it.
We will never abandon our conversion, consecration and commitment of the old year but we will them carry into the new year. We just make them better, higher and stronger.
The same God of the old is the God of the new. He will lead us higher as He helps us to build on the old. Leviticus 26:12-13 We will not forget the old covenant we had with the Lord. vs 13. It is the same God taking us into the new year, He has broken our yokes and removed our burdens.
The same feet with which we walked uprightly in the old year are the same we will walk with in the new year. So also we keep well all those things we received at the retreat. We must not have the erroneous idea that all the messages of the retreat are gone. No. We keep them, not losing any of them.
Matthew 13:51-52. Telling us of regaining and keeping all the treasures of the word of God we have received, even into new year. So, we bring forth together the old and the new year.
The persecutors and oppressors of old year are not dead with the old year. They are still there. The more reason why we carry our faith, fortitude, courage, conviction and consecration into the new year and thrash any of them that come our way.
Galatians 4:28-29. Isaac was in the old testament, while we are in the new. The persecutors of the past will not be different, but we will have new strength to engage them. We will surprise them all. We will be strong and resolute. We will overcome every battle, persecution, etc. New strength, new anointing and new power for us all.
1. BELIEVING THE OLD PROMISES FOR NEW PILGRIMS
We need to understand that the old testament people were referred to as pilgrims and strangers. Just like us, we are going from earth to the heavenly kingdom.
Hebrews 11:13 Believers were called strangers and pilgrims, I Peter 2:11.
What were the experiences of the people of old that gave them confidence, strength, and helped them to stand till the end?
LOOKING AT THE PROMISES OF THE OLD CARRIED INTO THE NEW: Salvation from God and God alone. They needed to look away from their idols and religion. Isaiah 45:22; Acts 4:12; Psalm 130:8; Titus 2:14. The saints of old were redeemed from all their inquiries.
Exodus 32:33. Whosoever goes back into sin He will blot out of His book.
Revelation 3:5. Whosoever overcomes, his name shall not be blotted out.
Exodus 15:26. He is the LORD that heals us
James 5:15-16. When you have pain and oppression in the body, think through, because sin and sickness go together, so also sin and suffering. After discovering your fault, make amends by repenting and asking for forgiveness. It is important to confess our faults one to another. After this, we ask for healing.
Job 5:19. God shall deliver us from six troubles, in seven ways will evil not touch us.
II Timothy 4:18: God will deliver us from every evil work.
2 Chronicles 1:7,10. God told Solomon to ask what he wanted. In the new testament, Jesus told us to ask, seek, and knock, and we shall receive. Solomon asked for wisdom and he got it, and so much more. James 1:5.
In this new year, all the grace we require to live a victorious lives shall be given to us.
Psalm 57:2. God performs all things for us.
Matthew 6:33. While we seek the kingdom of God, every other thing shall be added into us.
Romans 8:32. He will freely give us all things, just as He did not spare His Son, Jesus.
WATCHWORD FOR YEAR 2019: “ALL THINGS”
2. BRINGING THE OLD PRICE FOR A NEW PROGRESS
It is normal and legitimate to desire progress. But progress do not just come. There is a price to pay. II Samuel 24:24. For every blessing we desire, there is a price to pay.
Some say, PRAYER IS THE KEY, ignoring the aspect of price and sacrifice. Some say to their leaders, speak the word of prophecy in my life with no readiness to abandon sin, idolatry and careless living. Their religion, prayer, service cost them nothing. Whereas, David says He would not give to God any sacrifice that will cost him nothing.
Matthew 13:44-45. The kingdom of God must be precious to us. Christianity, following God, serving God and making heaven at last are not cheap, there are prices to pay.
Acts 19:18. Despite the great price, these new converts in this text burnt all the possessions and materials that had to do with the devil. They did not sell them to others in order to recoup their money, but they dispose of them all.
A store full of alcoholic and intoxicating drinks, you must dispose of them all, losing all the money. Such business must stop immediately after conversion.
Ungodly, seductive and provocative wears, either on personal or business quantity, all must be disposed of.
Books of erroneous preachers in our custody, regardless of the cost, after conversion, must be burnt.
Inheritance from our parents that have to do with occultism must be disposed of, no matter how costly they are.
Acts 19:18-19
And many that believed came, and confessed, and shewed their deeds.
Many of them also which used curious arts brought their books together, and burned them before all men: and they counted the price of them, and found it fifty thousand pieces of silver.
These newly-converted brethren BURNT all the evil materials in their possession before all the people, that is, publicly.
Any evil act like signing of fraudulent documents for personal gains or in assistance to others must stop immediately after conversion.
WE WILL NOT OBEY SATAN, OR ANY OF HIS HUMAN AGENTS
I Cor 6:19-20. Our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost. We must not be afraid, or shaky, we must remember Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego. They did not shake in the face of stiff opposition, even death. Afterwards, they were promoted for standing for God’s honour.
We will never walk to, or drive anywhere that will not glorify God. We will not be involved in any occultic things.
I AM FOLLOWING CHRIST
WE ARE FOLLOWING CHRIST
We will not use our eyes to look at things that will defile us, either in real life or on the internet. Any time any ungodly thing pops up on our devices, we will quickly discard them, we will not secretly indulge in them, we must be resolute against sin, I Cor 7:23.
As a servant in the house, After conversion, you will not run damnable errands like going to call a married woman for your boss. You will turn such assignment down outrightly. You will not aid or abet adultery, even at the risk of losing your job.
Psalm 4:3; Revelation 4:11. God has set us apart and created all things for Himself and His glory.
3. BENEFITING FROM THE OLD PRIVILEGES AS NEW, PECULIAR PEOPLE
Obeying and doing all that God commanded, Exodus 19:3-8. A believer should be peculiar, anywhere he finds himself. We do not act, conduct weddings, or react to issues the way unbelievers do. We must be truthful in signing the time register at work, we write the exact time we get to the office.
1 Peter 2:9. We must always bear in mind that we are peculiar people.
Deuteronomy 14:2. We are holy people into the Lord. We may be seen as odd, but we should know we are doing what God has chosen us for – showing forth His glory.
ch 26:18-19. As peculiar people, we must keep all His commandment. Other churches might compromise and open their doors to accommodate more members, we as a peculiar people must not do this. We must not make allowances for sin.
Job 36:11
If they obey and serve him, they shall spend their days in prosperity, and their years in pleasures.
In this new year, our lives shall blossom to the glory of God. He will prosper all the works of our hands.
Isaiah 1:19. If we are willing and obedient to God, we will eat the good of the land.
I Peter 1:14-16. As obedient children, our standard of living will not be like that of the world. We will be holy as He who has called us is holy.
What Are We To Expect This Year?
Exceeding great, and precious promises. II Peter 1:3-4; I Kings 8:56.
Deuteronomy 33:25-29:
25 Thy shoes shall be iron and brass; and as thy days, so shall thy strength be.
26 There is none like unto the God of Jeshurun, who rideth upon the heaven in thy help, and in his excellency on the sky.
27 The eternal God is thy refuge, and underneath are the everlasting arms: and he shall thrust out the enemy from before thee; and shall say, Destroy them.
28 Israel then shall dwell in safety alone: the fountain of Jacob shall be upon a land of corn and wine; also his heavens shall drop down dew.
29 Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.
The eternal God is our refuge, underneath us are His everlasting arms. Amen and Amen.
PRAYER:
May God Almighty keep us holy, righteous and serving Him in the new year. May He grant us the grace to never look back or compromise.
As for our FATHER in the Lord, may God keep him waxing stronger spiritually and physically. More grace and anointing to him in Jesus name, Amen and Amen.
More grace and heart of OBEDIENCE to God’s Word ALWAYS.

Topic: Draw the Curtains [DCLM Daily Manna 31 December 2018 Daily Devotional by Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi]
Text: Isaiah 43:18-21 (KJV)
Key Verse: “Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert“(Isaiah 43:18,19).
MESSAGE:
The axiom that whoever sits down to recount his past failures and disappointments increases his sorrows holds true. Life is not about the number of times we reflect on the past; it is being able to identify our past misdeeds and make amends, to secure a glorious future.
Our text deals with God’s unfathomable love and mercy towards Israel. At this time, they had sinned against God through idolatry, disobedience and several other abominations. They disobeyed His commandments and went into spiritual harlotry. In fact, they disregarded God’s warnings through His prophets, who revealed the danger that awaited them as a rebellious stiff-necked people.
The Israelites, however, had allowed their present circumstance to blur their vision. And they were quick to forget the past victories God had given them. Even then, God’s mercy remains inexhaustible. Anytime they repented and returned to Him, He assured them that He would do something new in their lives that would never be compared to the wondrous things He had done in the past. But they were not to dwell on the past because they were to experience a new time of forgiveness, blessing, restoration and God’s abiding presence.
Believers who have gone away from the Lord are called upon to return to Him. People who have not experienced the saving grace and power of Christ are expected to repent and accept Him as their personal Lord and Saviour. Together, we are to be witnesses of the grace of God and the great provision He has made for the reconciliation of the lost world. This we will effectively do if we take our minds away from our past failings and disappointments.
Thought For The Day: Your future is ahead and not in the past.

MFM Mountain Top Life Daily Devotional 31 December 2018 By Dr. D.K Olukoya – God is Faithful
TOPIC: God is Faithful (Mountain Of Fire and Miracle Ministries, MFM Daily Devotional 31 December 2018)
FIRE SCRIPTURE: Jeremiah 29:11-13
MEMORY VERSE:“Know therefore that the LORD thy God, he is God, the faithful God, which keepeth covenant and mercy with them that love him and keep his commandments to a thousand generations;” – Deuteronomy 7:9
The MESSAGE:
God, the creator of the heaven and the earth, has many characteristics. Apart from His holiness, faithfulness is another important feature of God. God is faithful and this has been proven many times in Scriptures and throughout all ages. Faithfulness is to remain steadfast, resolute and to exhibit unswerving commitment to a person or promise. It is an attribute of God which implies His unchanging nature, love and firmness in His relationship with His people. In the Bible, God is shown as faithful and His word is true (Hebrews 6:18). Since God cannot lie or break His covenant of unconditional love to you and your family, it is certain that you and your family will see the New Year, in Jesus’ name. You can be rest assured that God will keep and preserve you and your family in the coming year and beyond, in Jesus’ name.
Despite the challenges and difficulties, every believer can be confident in the solemn promise of God that He will never leave or forsake you. Even in the world today, there are testimonies of God’s faithfulness. The mere fact that you are alive today to see the last day in 2018 is a clear demonstration that God is not yet done with you and your family.
God’s faithfulness can be seen in many areas. His faithfulness is guaranteed and is evident in His relationship with His people (Genesis 6:17-18; Exodus 19:5). Another area where God’s faithfulness is demonstrated is in His everlasting love as seen in the redemptive sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross at Calvary for your salvation. God is also faithful to forgive your sins once you repent and forsake them (1 John 1:9). He is faithful to answer you as you seek Him truly and in faith. He is faithful to help you to face any trial and temptation (1 Corinthians10:13) and make you victorious. He is faithful to strengthen and protect you from the wiles and attack of the devil. God is faithful to provide and meet you at the point of your needs. He is faithful to keep in peace those whose heart is stayed on Him. There is no other god or person that can do all that God has done and can do for you in the New Year and beyond. This is because the steadfast love (faithfulness) of God never ceases and His mercies are new every day. Great is His faithfulness (Lamentations 3:22-23).
As the year comes to an end, you can look back at all that God has done and conclude that God has indeed been faithful to you and your family. He has kept you and your loved ones, saving you as you put your trust in Him. It does not mean that challenges will not come your way but God is always faithful to see you through by allowing all things to work together for your good (Romans 8:28). Nothing in this world can have everlasting power over you because Jesus Christ promised complete victory for you and your family over life’s issues and problems (John 16:33; 1 Corinthians 15:55-57).
MOTIVATIONAL QUOTE: GOD IS EVER FAITHFUL AND TRUE TO ALL WHO PUT THEIR TRUST IN HIM.
PROPHETIC WORD: Your joy shall be overflowing!
PRAYER POINTS:

Open Heaven 31 December 2018 Prayer Points on Today – Vessels Used of God
Praise God. Praise Him in the morning. Praise Him at noon. Praise Him at night. If you’ve never praised God in your life, then get started right now. Praise Him for freedom. Praise Him for healing and Calvary. Praise Him for the Name of Jesus.
You ought to be shouting your way to work and shouting your way back home! If there’s anything the devil can’t stand, it’s praise.
If you’ve taken territory from the devil and he’s coming against you to get it back, this is not the time to sit down and whine about how things aren’t working out. It’s not time to decide that God has taken His hand off your life.
It is time to get into the Word and get yourself re-anchored in God’s promises. It is time to keep those promises constantly before your eyes and in your heart. It is time to pray the prayer of faith and take your stand on the basis of His provision. It is time to continue to do the things you know to do.
When Satan starts shaking your mountain, don’t retreat and run for cover. Speak to the mountain with the authority you wield in the Name of Jesus Christ. Then, when you’re done with that, start to praise and shout the victory.
You don’t have to be afraid of Satan. He’ll be afraid of you!
