Parents of Transgender Teens Object to American Academy of Pediatrics’ New Guidelines on Hormone Therapy

Parents of Transgender Teens Object to American Academy of Pediatrics’ New Guidelines on Hormone Therapy

The American Academy of Pediatrics recently issued new guidelines to “ensure comprehensive care and support for transgender and gender-diverse children” which included an endorsement of hormone therapy. The group of parents whose children identify as transgender object to the new guidelines and said they “will continue, and possibly worsen, the harm brought to many children by the recent radical changes to treatment guidelines for transgender-identifying youth.”

Someone published the letter from over 1,100 parents of transgender teens on the Gender Clinic Support Board. The parents believe the AAP is acting with the best of intentions but say they “are deeply concerned that the clinicians using affirmation therapy are inadvertently inflicting physical and psychological harm.”

The group said they are “critical of the phenomenon of transgender youth growing at epidemic rates.” They further explained, “Over the past decade, there has been an exponential rise of predominantly adolescent girls who are suddenly declaring themselves trans after the onset of puberty and who have no previous history of gender dysphoria (GD).  Historically, GD showed at a much earlier age and has been exceedingly more common in boys.

The concerned parents voiced a special concern about the introduction of puberty-blocking hormones. They…

Australia’s Christian PM Ridicules Gender ‘Nonsense’ of Changing Passports, Birth Certificates

Australia’s Christian PM Ridicules Gender ‘Nonsense’ of Changing Passports, Birth Certificates

Australia’s new prime minister, Scott Morrison, isn’t following politically correct talking points on gender.

Morrison, an evangelical Christian, on Tuesday ridiculed reports that the opposition Labor party wants to add a “non-binary” category to passports, which would give transgender people another option besides “male” and “female.” Morrison is head of the Liberal Party.

“A Liberal National Government will never remove gender from birth certificates, licenses and passports – who are Labor kidding? Get real,” Morrison wrote in a Tweet.

“This is the problem with Labor, obsessed with nonsense like removing gender from birth certificates rather than lower electricity prices, reducing tax for hard-working families and small businesses,” Morrison added in a follow-up Tweet.

The Daily Mail reported that Labor’s draft national platform includes a commitment to reviewing “documentation requirements” and giving people a choice “beyond binary male/female” on passports. Labor politicians in Tasmania want to do the same with drivers licenses, the newspaper reported.

“It shows Labor believes government is for everyone, not just the 95 per cent who are male or female,” transgender activist Norrie May-Welby told The Daily Mail about the Labor proposal.

A spokesman for Opposition Leader…

Kenneth Copeland Devotional 2 November 2018 – He Opened the Way

Topic: He Opened the Way [Kenneth Copeland Devotional 2 November 2018]

In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (Christ), and the Word was with God, and the Word was God Himself…. And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us…. – John 1:1,14, The Amplified Bible

The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ is something that can never be brought into question by any born-again believer. Our very salvation rests on the fact that Jesus Christ is divine, the second person of the Godhead, God—the Son.

The beloved disciple and apostle, John, forever puts to rest any doubt about that in John 1:1,14. Anyone who doubts what those verses say could not possibly have been born of the kingdom of God. For the deity of Jesus forms the very foundation of our faith in Him.

Yet, if you’ll search the Gospels, you’ll see that Jesus didn’t go around proclaiming Himself as God during His 33 years on earth. He acknowledged that He was the Son of God, the Messiah. He referred to God as His Father (which enraged the Pharisees), but He never made the assertion that He was the Most High God. In fact, He told His disciples that the Father God was greater and mightier than He (John 14:28).

The reason is simple. He hadn’t come to earth just as God. He’d come also as man. The Word says He set aside His divine power and took the form of a human being—with all its limitations. Since God was His Father, He was not born with the sin nature that had been passed along to the sons of Adam. But by being born of a woman, in all other respects He became a man and called Himself the Son of Man or, literally, the Son of Adam.

How, then, did He do all those mighty works? The same way He expects us to do them today—by the Anointing and the power of the Holy Spirit (Acts 10:38). He said, “It’s the Father within Me who does the work.”

What does that mean to you? It means that Jesus meant exactly what He declared when He said that you, as a believer, would be able to do the works that He did (John 14:12)!

It means that you, as a reborn child of God, filled with the same Holy Spirit as Jesus was, have the opportunity to live as He lived when He was on earth.

In fact, that is exactly what He intends. He went before you, as a man, and opened the way. Don’t just admire Him for it. Follow Him in it today!

Scripture Reading: John 14:1-15

Andrew Wommack Devotional 2 November 2018 – Give All The Glory To God

Topic: Give All The Glory To God [Andrew Wommack Devotional 2 November 2018 ]

John 17:18 “As thou hast sent me into the world, even so have I also sent them into the world.”

We are not from the world. Through the new birth, we come from God and should constantly remind ourselves of this. It is not good to be too “at home” in the world. We are in the world but are not of the world. Great men and women of God have always had this attitude.

The primary reason that God chooses to use those who are nothing by the world’s standards, is so no one else can take credit for the great things that are accomplished.

If the Lord used those who had it “all together” in the natural, then they would share the glory that rightfully belongs to God alone. But when the Lord works miraculously through someone who obviously has no talent or ability, then everyone says, “This must be God.”

Not only does this keep others from misdirecting the glory that belongs to God, but it keeps the person who God uses from swelling up with pride. One of Satan’s greatest weapons against someone who is being used by God is to tempt them to think that the Lord is using them because they possess some superior virtue.

God uses “nobodies.” If we think we’ve become “somebody” (in our flesh), then we will cease being used. He will not share His glory with anyone else (Isa. 42:8).

Billy Graham Devotional 2 November 2018 – God with Us

Topic: God with Us [Billy Graham Devotional 2 November 2018 ]

There is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. — Proverbs 18:24

How many lonely people there are today! God did not create man to live in miserable inner loneliness. In that first Eden, God Himself came down to keep the man He had made from being lonely.

One of the most heartening things Jesus said to His disciples was, “Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world” (Matthew 28:20). He came to restore fellowship between man and God, and to take away human loneliness. Jesus Christ will take away loneliness from your soul. He will be your companion and friend.

Prayer for the day: You want to fill all the lonely moments, Lord, and turn them into times of incredible delight. May I never fear loneliness again.

Despite Violence by Islamic Terror Group, Thousands in Nigeria Are Turning to Christ

Despite Violence by Islamic Terror Group, Thousands in Nigeria Are Turning to Christ

Despite an Islamic terrorist group’s violence, thousands in Nigeria are becoming Christians, a missions group said.

Todd Nettleton, of Voice of the Martyrs, said Islamists in the Fulani tribe raided a village in the city of Jos in late September. Twenty people were killed in their homes.

The Fulani are not all Islamists, he added, but there are radicals in the tribe.

“Nigerians are frustrated that these attacks keep happening, because they think there should be security,” Nettleton said.

Emeka Umeagbalasi, board chairman of the International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, said Christians have been shot to death, but homes and churches have also been destroyed.

Still, according to The Christian Post, “thousands” of Fulani are committing their lives to Jesus.

“Thousands of Fulani are following Jesus Christ. So this traditionally Muslim tribal group, ethnic group, thousands of them have left Islam behind and are now following Jesus Christ. So the Church there sees that and that tends to bridge some of these gaps,” Nettleton said.

Nettleton added that the Voice of the Martyrs is helping to provide food, sleeping mats and mosquito nets to Christians who have been forced to flee because of the violence.

“We should care because this is our family. These are our brothers and sisters, they are going through a very difficult…

Open Heaven 2 November 2018 – You Need A Counsellor

Open Heaven 2 November 2018 Friday Daily Devotional by Pastor E A Adeboye – You Need A Counsellor

Topic: You Need A Counsellor (Open Heaven 2 November 2018)

Memorise: “Where no counsel is, the people fall: but in the multitude of counsellors there is safety.”Proverbs 11:14

Read: Isaiah 9:2-7 (KJV)

2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.

3 Thou hast multiplied the nation, and not increased the joy: they joy before thee according to the joy in harvest, and as men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

4 For thou hast broken the yoke of his burden, and the staff of his shoulder, the rod of his oppressor, as in the day of Midian.

5 For every battle of the warrior is with confused noise, and garments rolled in blood; but this shall be with burning and fuel of fire.

6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

7 Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.

Bible in One Year: Jeremiah 35-36, Luke 14:25-15:10

Open Heaven 2 November 2018 Friday MESSAGE:

Some Christians feel that they have outgrown the need for counselors in their lives, but nothing could be further from the truth. The unfortunate thing is that such Christians who erroneously think this way gradually graduate to the level of believing that they can also live their Christian lives in isolation. The resultant effect of this is that they stop fellowshipping with other believers, contrary to our Lord’s injunction in Hebrews 10:25, which says:

“Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.”

Every one of us will always need a counsellor at one point in time or the other till we see Jesus in glory (1 Corinthians 13:9-12). I recall the story of the first dump truck we bought at the Redemption Camp in Nigeria. It was a result of the wise counsel I got from our Camp Manager. We had received some money that looked substantial to me, and I felt we should go ahead to execute some of our building projects. As I was contemplating on the next project to embark on, the Lord spoke to me, instructing me to seek counsel from our Camp Manager. When my Commander-in-Chief speaks, I don’t waste time in carrying out His bidding. I got to the Camp Manager, and contrary to what I had in mind, he recommended that we should buy a dump truck for transporting sand from the quarry, where we could buy sand for construction at a cheaper price, instead of purchasing from resellers at exorbitant rate as we had been doing. He was of the opinion that we would need a lot of sand for the projects at hand, and having our own truck for getting sand at a cheap price would reduce the cost of these building projects substantially. That was how we got the dump truck, and this opened our eyes to other opportunities that further reduced the cost of our construction projects drastically.

Isaiah 9:2 says that the people who walk in darkness have seen a great light, and those who dwelt in the land of the shadow of death have received the light of life. How did this happen? The Holy Spirit answers this in Isaiah 9:6, saying:

“For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.”

Jesus is the Counsellor of counsellors. How yielded are you to the counsel He gives you through His word, through the voice of His Spirit inside you, and through the people He has placed around you? If you do not receive His counsel, His gentle Spirit will not force you, but you will bear the consequences that follow.

Open Heaven 2 November 2018 Friday Prayer Point:

Gentle Holy Spirit, I acknowledge Your knowledge is beyond mine; I therefore yield to Your counsel in all my ways. Please lead me to the place of heaven’s rest in Jesus Christ.

Gateway Church Pastor Identifies ‘First Place’ Satan Attacks Christians, How to Battle It

(PHOTO: YOUTUBE)Pastor Jimmy Evans is the Senior Pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas and the founder of MarriageToday.

When Satan attacks a Christian, he begins with the mind, instilling fear, doubt, anger, and frustration and convincing them they’re unworthy of God’s love, Pastor Jimmy Evans, senior pastor of Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas, argued.

“Everything starts with the mind; In the Garden of Eden, when Satan first attacked humans, he did it with thoughts,” Evans told The Christian Post. “The same thing with Jesus; when the devil attacked Him in the desert, he attacked His thoughts. Christians are engaged in spiritual warfare, and the weapons of this warfare aren’t carnal. That’s why Romans 12 tells us to let God transform us into a new person by changing the way we think.”

Evans, who with his wife Karen leads the popular ministry Marriage Today, identifies practical steps believers can take to overcome their thoughts of worry, insecurity, fear and failure and live a life of freedom and peace in his book, I Changed My Mind: Journey Toward Spiritual Maturity.

“The Word of God is the source of authority that tell us truth, and it’s under attack in society; many people scoff at it and have a liberal view,” he said. “The Word of God is inspired and…

British Woman Claims She Had Sex With 20 Ghosts and is Now Engaged to a Poltergeist She Wants to Have a Phantom Baby With – Urban Christian News

A British woman is claiming that she’s had sex with 20 ghosts and is now engaged to a spirit and hopes to have a phantom baby with “him.”

Amethyst Realm, a spiritual guide who channels spirits, said in an interview with ITV’s “This Morning” that she refers to her new ghost fiancé as him and this unnamed spiritual presence in her life is “very ancient” and “very wise” and “very kind.”

But their conversations are more about “emotion, feeling, and connection” and do not involve the exchange of many words. Interactions between them have been “tense” at times but the two have never had a falling out.

Realm, 30, explained that she cheated on her boyfriend and subsequently had sexual encounters with 20 other spirits.

But one particular ghost proposed marriage during a trip to mark their nine-month relationship at England’s Wookey Hole caves.

“There was no going down on one knee — he doesn’t have knees. But for the first time, I heard him speak,” she said in a recent interview with The Sun.

“I could actually hear his voice and it was beautiful. Deep, sexy and real.”

The Bristol-based channeler encountered this spirit while in Australia on a work trip earlier this year.

Man faked cathedral amnesia to escape ‘nagging’ mother-in-law

Salvatore Mannino has since confessed that the stunt spanned from a disagreement involving his mother-in-law, whom he felt had been overbearing.

The 52 year old was quoted by The Sun newspaper as saying: “I did it to get away from my nagging mother-in-law.

“I never lost my memory. I wanted to show my family I was important to them. I wanted to regain my position as a husband and father as I felt my mother-in-law had taken that from me.”

Last month, Police Scotland reported how a mystery man was taken unwell at the Episcopal landmark on 20th September.

Questioned in hospital, he was unable to tell officers where he was from – or name any of his relatives.

It has since emerged the father-of-four had disappeared earlier in the week, after dropping off his children at school in the town of Lajatico in Tuscany, Italy.

Searches by Italian security officials found the father-of-four had used entered terms including “how to disappear” and “how to fake memory loss”.

Officers reportedly found Mr Mannino had looked at weather forecasts for Edinburgh before he went missing.

Mr Mannino’s tattoos helped Scottish police identify him – and his family were flown to Britain to meet him.

It is reported he has since been charged with abandonment in Italy.

A source close to the family told The…
