The founder of a new pro-life clothing brand, which earlier this year named prominent pro-lifer Abby Johnson as its Global Ambassador, said her company’s goal is to become the “Chick-fil-A of fashion.”

Carla D’Addesi, who founded COL1972 with her three teenage daughters in January, told Faithwire one of the goals for the company is to educate Americans about the pro-life movement. COL in the company name stands for Culture of Life and 1972 refers to the last year in which abortion was illegal. The U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion the following year with the landmark Roe v. Wade decision. COL1972’s founding coincided with Sanctity of Life month.

“We’d really like to get back to a culture of life, the year 1972,” D’Addesi said in January. “1973 is when our Supreme Court ruled that the tiniest people did not have the right to life.”

The company, whose motto is “Life is Always in Style,” manufactures leggings, T-shirts, sweatshirts, hats, gym bags, jewelry and other accessories and has created four special collections, all with an eye toward celebrating life for the unborn.

“We want to be the Chick-fil-A of fashion,” D’Addesi told Faithwire. “We want people to say, ‘Where did you get those waffle fries? They’re amazing.’ And then they go to Chick-fil-A because it’s clean, great service, fabulous food.”

Planned Parenthood will close two of its clinics in Cincinnati later this month due to a new Trump administration pro-life rule that led the organization to opt of federal funding. 

Planned Parenthood of Southwest Ohio said Monday the two clinics – Springdale Health Center and Western Hills Health Center – will close Sept. 20. Although neither clinic performed abortions, they referred patients to a nearby Planned Parenthood clinic that did perform abortions. 

The closures come after the Trump administration’s Department of Health and Human Services began enforcing a new rule that prevents family planning clinics receiving Title X money from promoting or referring for abortion. Planned Parenthood Federation of America chose to opt of the program rather than abide by the rule, which it calls the “gag rule.” Supporters labeled it the Protect Life Rule. Planned Parenthood will lose roughly $60 million each year. 

Title X is a family planning program that funds cancer screenings, contraceptives and pregnancy tests for low-income individuals.

An ex-Victoria’s Secret model has opened up about how she walked out on her successful modeling career leading her to meet Jesus and pursue acting in faith-based movies.

Nicole Weider produced and featured in a new title called “Catching Faith 2,” which was released in Walmart and on-demand last week. Speaking to Fox & Friends Monday, the former model explained how she left the industry after being overwhelmed by the negative aspects of the job.

“I realized the modeling industry wasn’t all it’s cracked up to be. I was really objectified,” Weider explained. “It was hurting my self-esteem and it was harmful, and so I realized I wanted more for my life and I didn’t just want to focus on my outer appearance.”

It was at this point that Christ came into her life – and at that point, she said, everything changed in an instant.

“I was actually at a low point in my life, and my friend told me about Jesus,” Weider revealed. “And so I wanted to give my life to him, and then once I did, all of these amazing things happened and God is so wonderful and amazing.”

Last week, nearly 20,000 pro-life supporters rallied to the steps of Northern Ireland’s government buildings in protest of recent abortion legislation, as reported by Faithwire.

The law, enacted by the British Parliament, orders Northern Ireland to fall under the UK’s abortion laws. Currently, abortion is nearly illegal in the country with exceptions only granted for extreme cases to save the life of the mother. In 2016-2017, only 13 abortions occurred in Northern Ireland, according to FaithWire. Meanwhile, nearly 200,000 abortions were carried out in England and Wales, where abortions are permitted up to 28 week’s gestation.

“It was tremendous to see so many uniting to send a clear and powerful message to our politicians that it is time to put differences aside and get the Assembly back up and running,” CARE Northern Ireland Policy Officer, Mark Baillie said.

Actress Melissa Joan Hart recently traveled to Zambia, Africa as part of World Vision’s child sponsorship program.

Hart visited the villages in Zambia along with her husband, Mark Wilkerson, and their oldest son, Mason. The family brought supplies to one of the villages in Zambia – a special village for the family as it is home to three sisters who are sponsored by the Hart family.

The three girls are 13, 11 and six years old.

“We brought them toys and necessities, socks and food,” Hart told Entertainment Tonight. She said that they also provided goats for the villagers, which made a “big change,” adding “they can then learn to farm and teach others and share the goats.”

Hart later shared a photo on her Instagram of her family praying with villagers. She told ET that it was her favorite part of the trip.

LAHORE, Pakistan, September 9, 2019 (Morning Star News) – Police in Lahore, Pakistan tortured to death the Christian father of 14-day-old and 7-year-old sons, relatives said.

Officers on Aug. 28 illegally detained 28-year-old Amir Masih on a false charge of theft and tortured him for four days before he died in a hospital on Sept. 2, his brother Sunny Masih told Morning Star News.

Interrogating officers in the 96-percent Muslim country “urinated on Amir’s face and body and mocked his Christian faith” while trying to torture him into a false confession, Masih said.

After filing an application with police on Aug. 31 alleging forced disappearance of Amir Masih, relatives were informed that he had been taken into custody by a sub-inspector identified only as Zeeshan in connection with a theft case. Their repeated attempts to meet Sub-Inspector Zeeshan were blocked. They did know of Amir Masih’s whereabouts until an officer phoned Sunny Masih on Sept. 2 to tell him that his brother was not well and that they should come and take him to the hospital, Masih said.
